We confirm the departure of our forward, Mohammed Affelay Wangai, who leaves the Blue Eagles on a Bosman transfer following the expiry of his contract.

Wangai rejoined Soy United for a second spell midway through the 2025/26 season as a free agent and quickly became an important part of the team that secured a top-ten finish in the National Super League.

We thank Okwi for his commitment, professionalism and contribution during his time with Soy United and wish him every success in his next chapter.

We confirm the departure of our central defender Robinson Godwell Kamura, who has completed a move to the newly promoted Kenyan Premier League side 3K Football Club.

Kamura joined the Blue Eagles midway through the 2025/26 season as a free agent and quickly became an important part of our defensive unit, contributing to our successful campaign as well as serving as one of the captains in top-ten finish in the National Super League.

We thank Njoro for his commitment, professionalism and contribution during his time with Soy United and wish him every success with 3K FC.

We confirm the departure of our young prolific forward, Alfred Ochieng’ Ratolo, who has completed a move to KCB FC in the Kenyan Premier League.

Ratolo joined the Blue Eagles in 2022 as a Form Three student at St. Paul’s Lugari Boys, featuring for our youth team in the Chapa Dimba na Safaricom tournament before graduating to the senior ranks in December 2023, following completion of his high school studies.

He played a pivotal role in our remarkable back-to-back promotions, as Soy United climbed from FKF Division Two to the National Super League.

The 2025/26 campaign was particularly memorable, with Dr. Ratolo finishing as the club’s top scorer with 12 goals, helping the Blue Eagles secure a top-ten finish in the NSL.

From a young Eagle in the youth ranks to a Premier League player, your journey is one of hard work, resilience and belief.

We officially confirm the departure of our left-back, Evans Makari Maliachi, who has completed a permanent move to Kenyan Premier League side Mathare United FC.

Maliachi joined the Blue Eagles midway through the 2025/26 season on a short-term deal and played an important role as we secured a top-ten finish in the National Super League.

Thank you, Evans, for your commitment, hard work and contribution to Soy United FC.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Kakamega School, St. Joseph's Girls' Kitale, Chesamisi High School, Kesogon Girls Secondary & Butula Boys High School for being crowned the 2026 Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) National Champions in boys' football, girls' football, boys' volleyball, girls volleyball and boys rugby 7s respectively.

We also congratulate Kakamega Hill School for winning the National Junior Secondary Schools Football Championship in Thika, Kiambu County.

Your remarkable achievements are a testament to the talent, resilience, and sporting excellence that continue to define the Western Region on the national stage as a rich hub for sporting excellence.

We wish you every success as you proudly represent Kenya at the East Africa Secondary Schools Championships in Morogoro, Tanzania.

Some dreams feel too beautiful to be true—until you watch them come to life.

These five young men were once just ordinary village boys with extraordinary talent from the Vumilia and Lumino areas of Soy. Like many children, they chased a ball on dusty village pitches, never knowing that football would one day open the doors to Menengai High School in Nakuru through scholarships.

Today, just three years later, they are competing against the very best at the KSSSA National Games.

I spent my Sunday at the Mpesa Foundation Academy in Thika cheering them on, not just because they are our boys, but because they represent every child who dares to dream beyond their circumstances.

Moments like these remind us that football is far more than a game. It is hope. It is opportunity. It is education. It is a chance to rewrite a family's story and inspire an entire community.

Keep believing, boys. You are proving that greatness can rise from the smallest villages, and that dreams nurtured with discipline and hard work really do come true.
