race week is here again 🇹🇿
More than just a marathon, it’s the energy, the people, the stories, and the feeling of running alongside Africa’s highest freestanding mountain.
This weekend, we’re taking you with us.
So you can experience the Kilimanjaro Marathon too… and maybe, we’ll even see you on the start line with us next year.

Every journey has its own rhythm.
Ours started slowly, one run, one conversation, one new place at a time. Across East Africa, we’ve been discovering routes, developing running trips, and most importantly, meeting the local friends who make every mile meaningful.
From Kenya to Tanzania, Uganda to Rwanda, each step has become part of the story.
Now, after months of building, exploring, and connecting, we’re ready for the next sprint. And this time, we’re not keeping the pace to ourselves.
So here’s a small hello from us again.
RAIFIKI RUNNERS LIMITED.
Your trusted running friend in East Africa you didn’t know you needed.
Follow the page to keep up with our journey 🤍

The try-out recap continues 🇺🇬
A full day in Kapchorwa, soaking in the views and testing our lungs!
Before breakfast, the whole team went for a short shake-out run. Huge thanks to our Ugandan teammates, Elijah and Winnie, for showing us their home turf. We tackled a 5.5 km loop lovingly called the “Champions Trail.”
A gentle uphill past 2000m rewards you with jaw-dropping views… and heart rates that remind you altitude isn’t just a number 😉.
Shoutout to for this gem, proving that just 5.5 km can already showcase Kapchorwa’s immense beauty.

Behind the scenes… or should we say above the scenes? 🔥

The try-out recap continues 🏁
A few hours out of Eldoret, we crossed into Uganda. On the road to Mbale and then onwards to Kapchorwa, our full relay team will finally come together.
From election posters lining the streets. To matoke, Uganda’s staple bananas, often steamed or mashed and packed on boda-bodas for market trips. To endless green hills stretching as far as the eye can see, we’ve entered another world. One that offers more than just beauty. 🇺🇬
Cruising in our branded team bus, we arrived in Kapchorwa by afternoon. Our first home of Champions. The starting line for the journey that’s about to unfold.

The try-out recap continues 🏁
Eldoret, our first meeting point.
Known as the City of Champions, set high in the fertile Great Rift Valley at ±2,100 meters above sea level, where altitude and consistency shape world-class runners.
With half of our try-out team, Kandi aka captain of the roads, Kiptoo, Nancy and Dominic, we set off toward the Ugandan border. Our destination: Mbale, where the rest of the squad would soon join.
A stunning three-hour drive, stretching all the way to the border.
Half the team already wearing the ROTC bracelet, once cultural heritage, now a symbol embraced by many. A daily reminder of roots, pride, and togetherness. That’s exactly why ours couldn’t be left behind. 🇰🇪 🇺🇬

Our first hello of the year.
On the 13th of January, because this date means something to us.
13. A number that brings us back to our why.
A reminder of why we started.
Running, for us, has never been about being the fastest.
It’s about showing up.
About moving together.
About finding strength in community.
From today, we lace up again.
Not to chase numbers,
but to run for what we stand for, together.
2026 is ours.

Morning runs hit different, even better when the streets are alive with like-minded people, the sun is just rising, and your shadow stretches out ahead with every step.
And hey… the official launch is creeping closer 👀
We are ready to share everything we’ve poured our hearts into.
Thanks for running this journey with us.
More soon. 💛

We’ve all been there, putting off that first run, hesitating to sign up, waiting for the “right” moment to begin.
But this time, there’s no more running away. Only one direction to go: forward. 🏃♂️
03.11— a date that holds more than meets the eye.
Hidden within it is the number 13, not a sign of bad luck, but of renewal, transformation, and the courage to take that first step.
In just 5 days, RAIFIKI RUNNERS LIMITED officially goes live.
A dream that started with one step, now becoming a movement.
Let’s run towards it. MBELE PAMOJA 🧡

October has been one long marathon, not the kind with medals, but the behind-the-scenes kind 💭 The quiet before the storm, where ideas are stretching, stories are forming, and beautiful things are finding their pace. Here’s a little peek into what’s been brewing.

Kasese touchdown ⛰️
It instantly reminded us of Moshi. The warmth, the smiles, the energy of a city resting at the foot of a great mountain. This time, it’s the Rwenzori watching over us.
We dropped our bags, picked up our start numbers, and wandered around the starting zone just to take it all in. That familiar pre-race excitement is back, a mix of calm nerves and pure joy. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. 🏃♂️
