SYDNEY MARATHON SET FOR A CHAMPIONS’ SHOWDOWN!

Reigning world marathon champions Peres Jepchirchir 🇰🇪 and Alphonce Simbu 🇹🇿 are set to headline a historic elite field at the TCS Sydney Marathon this Sunday, August 30, 2026.

For the first time in Australian marathon history, both reigning men’s and women’s world champions will line up at the same race — adding even more prestige to Sydney’s first edition as an Abbott World Marathon Major. 🌏🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

With more than 40,000 runners expected, the elite athletes will also have their eyes firmly on the course records:
