Catherine The Great!
Catherine Ndereba 🇰🇪 is one of the greatest women marathoners of all time. She was the first Kenyan woman to win a gold medal at the world championships and the first Kenyan woman to win a marathon medal at the Olympics.
In 2001, Catherine broke the marathon world record in Chicago with a time of 2:18.47 becoming the first woman in history to run a sub 2:19 marathon.
