Look, when 1 plus 1 isn't 2 but 'two', don't fix the digits, fix the calculator! When a single team allows its students to misbehave for a whole 10 plus minutes, then it shows how determined they are to influence the outcome of a match from places outside the field of place!
Let students have respect for elders, let boys and girls learn that at times they win, at times they draw and also lose some. The streets are unforgiving, these streets can make or break.
Why is it that a team can play at the national and regional level (East Africa) and still have non of its students scouted? It speaks volumes about the institution.
Lastly, you can't be the team playing the appeal card from the zonal level all through to the county level! At least you have to have some strength to win games without the help of the boardroom, look, football is played in the fields, not boardrooms! For those suggesting that the principal for the school in question should be given a job in any sports ministry, think again! We need wins, but we also need reputation...
The well oiled machine of Solidarity boys kitale. Will roll on! Viva KD

KD a school in the outskirts of Kitale town is a school known for its excellent talent scouting, a school that believes in nurturing young talents rather than picking up ready made talents!
When a school plays with utmost cohesion, with a well oiled pattern, they are simply telling the world "....look, this team wasn't assembled yesterday.."
With all the theatrics in Trans-Nzoia school games,, with the help of God, Solidarity boys are all set to recover their lost trophy. The opponents are worthy, well prepared, but the trophy is sure to return to the homeland of scholars and sportsmen.
If you doubt it, be at Ndura sports complex at 8am, see the zeal, anger and determination in the young lads.
Solidarity is one of the few schools that can pride itself in having a team for 2027! Most schools around, have quick fixes in their squads that serve short term rather than long-term goals. That is why , most players in KD resonate well with their fans unlike those in other schools!
We believe in the boys and the boys will surely deliver pressure!
St. Antony of Padua, intercede for us. Amen

Patrick Matasi, a goalkeeper who brought joy and pain to Kenyan fans! At one time, he made great saves and at other times he made catastrophic errors.
His left foot was a joy to watch pale Ingwe! A young talented goalkeeper whom I have seen grow and develop. He has just wasted his career in its dying stages!
He has conceded goals that have school boy errors in them. Goals cooked and served to us at national and club levels.
Matasi should be used as an example to those who put their selfish gains ahead of the nation. He should be suspended further and not just for three months.
He should also be made to return proceeds of match fixing as it is money stolen from betting companies through predetermined match results.
In short, Matasi and soccer should part ways amicably. He doesn't deserve soccer and soccer doesn't deserve a selfish man like him.

In life, she brought joy to our volleyball courts, she made men throng the courts just to see her and the rest... She was so full of life, she knew how to rise above the rest and s***k those volleyballs.
I haven't met her in person, but I have watched her, I haven't spoken to her but I have heard her spikes hit the courts!
I don't know what pain she has left behind for her parents and family, but I know what void she has left in the courts of spikes!
Cancer has left its mark once again, cancer has risen above our spikes, but one day, maybe not in our lifetimes, but I know cancer will die too.
Go well Wanja! Pole to Kim and family.

In the Northwest part of Kenya, lies another 'Murima' it's a relatively quiet Murima unlike the other one! Here the 'Murima has to be silent or else it may not receive the rays from the hills! Or the hills could also decide to grow and shake the 'Murima'.....
The beauty of this town is that it lies between the 'Murima' and the 'Tumurima'.. None can exist without the other! One awakens us, while the other bids us bye to usher in darkness!
Oooh, lest I forget, one provides the country with great tea while the other offers us a border with Uganda. Murima na Tumurima, yote ni yetu!
Cherangani Hills and Mt Elgon that is the beauty of the peaceful town called Kitale!!

Sad that our kids go to schools and don't return to us during holidays ðŸ˜. Whose responsibility is it to keep our kids safe in school? Are we ensuring that the environment our kids study and board in are safe?
What age is good enough for boarding? Is a nine (9) year old safe and good to go in a boarding school?
These are questions that I may not find answers to. But our schools need to be well prepared for such cases.
In high school, we had a whole functional fire fighting squad. We were well equipped with a fire engine, with the power to shoot water 50 metres away. We the firefighters, could practise every Saturday!
The school carried out mock up fire drills to ensure that learners were aware of available escape routes and also conversant with fire assembly points. The drills could be undertaken in the dead of the night without any notice!
Schools can do well to learn something from this school. If that will be the cost to help avert such calamities in future so be it.
