We are deeply saddened by the passing of former Kenyan international midfielder and esteemed Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) Warrant Officer Class One (WO1), Elijah Koranga. His dedication to both football and military service was exemplary, leaving an indelible mark on our nation's history.
Elijah's contributions to Kenyan football, notably with Scarlet and the Harambee Stars, showcased his exceptional talent and passion for the sport. Beyond the pitch, he served our country with unwavering commitment, culminating in his role as the Defence Forces Sergeant Major, the highest-ranking position among non-commissioned officers in the KDF. His retirement in October 2024 marked the end of a distinguished 40-year military career.

His legacy continues through his children—Ariel Okall, Felmas Koranga, and Emmanuel Ochieng—who have each made significant contributions to Kenyan basketball. Our thoughts and prayers are with Elijah's family and loved ones during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace
