We had the absolute pleasure of hosting Champions for our forest adventure program. The champions took part in outdoor learning- exploring the forest trails and connecting deeper with nature- with curiosity and a sense of wonder.

Our programs are based in a natural environment. Therefore, we try to mitigate risk, while ensuring students fully get to learn and experience the outdoors without worrying about weather, animals, insects, dangerous plants, or other elements.

Every adventure begins with safety- so curiosity and learning can grow freely.

We call it the rebel arrow- the arrow that will land anywhere but on the target or on the bull's eye. 🎯

The students embrace the lessons that the rebel arrows or the missed shots teach during archery. To confidently and patiently practice. And not to forget to have fun while at it. 🏹

Foraging.🌳🫐

One useful skill in wilderness survival is foraging. How can students tell what is safe to eat or not?

One key step before foraging, students are taught about the local ecosystem. They're taught common, unmistakable, and easy-to-spot edible plants that grow in an area. For example, there are plenty of wild berries at our forest location.

Confidence comes from knowledge and careful learning, not guessing.
