Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting Kabare Girls High School for a series of competitive friendly matches.

Following our disappointing outing at the KSSSA National Games earlier this year, we have embraced this rebuilding phase with renewed purpose as we begin preparing for the next KSSSA Term One season. Every session and every match is another step towards becoming a stronger team.

Kabare Girls High School are also on a rebuilding journey after narrowly missing out on a place at the National Games following their defeat in this year's regional finals. It made for a day of competitive hockey, valuable lessons, and mutual growth for both sides.

We sincerely thank the players, coaches, and management of Kabare Girls High School for making the trip and for the wonderful spirit in which the matches were played. We wish them all the very best as they continue their preparations.

The road back to the top starts now—one training session, one match, and one lesson at a time.

Fred the Friend of Hockey!

As the curtains come down on the inaugural Mwiki Hockey Classic Tournament (MHCT), our hearts are filled with nothing but gratitude.

We extend our deepest appreciation to Mr. Fred Odhiambo, Member of the Executive and Hockey Coordinator for the Nairobi Region Secondary School Sports Association (NRSSSA), for generously sponsoring the tournament trophies. Your unwavering support, generosity, and belief in grassroots hockey gave our players something special to compete for and memories they will cherish for years to come.

A seasoned coach and leader, Coach Fred has guided Nairobi School to numerous regional titles, and his continued commitment to developing hockey both on and off the field is truly inspiring. Thank you for investing in the future of our sport.

To every team that honored our invitation, every player who gave their all, every coach, umpire, official, volunteer, parent, supporter, photographer, and friend of Mwiki Hockey—thank you. Your time, energy, sportsmanship, and encouragement transformed this tournament into more than just a competition; it became a celebration of hockey, friendship, and community.

To everyone who contributed in ways big and small, please know that your support did not go unnoticed. The success of the Mwiki Hockey Classic Tournament belongs to all of us.

This is only the beginning. Together, we are building a stronger hockey culture and creating more opportunities for young players to grow, compete, and dream.

A New Chapter Begins

After a challenging outing at the KSSSA National Games in Kisumu back in April, our girls took a well-deserved break to rest, reflect, and reset.

Yesterday, we officially got back to work.
We kicked off our preparations with a series of friendly matches against Ukia Girls and Gorillas Ladies Hockey Club at Utalii Sports Club. Beyond the results, the day was about rebuilding confidence, sharpening our game, and taking the first steps towards an exciting new chapter.

Every setback is an opportunity to grow, and every comeback starts with a decision to begin again.

A huge thank you to Ukia Girls and Gorillas Ladies Hockey Club for the competitive matches and excellent sportsmanship. We wish both teams the very best in the season ahead.

The journey continues. One training session, one match, one step closer to where we belong.

Nairobi Region Champions 🏆

In a commanding and emphatic display, Mwiki triumphed over archrivals Pangani Girls High School 6–1 in the Nairobi Region Hockey Finals. The girls produced a performance full of flair, discipline, and attacking brilliance, asserting their dominance from start to finish to lift the regional crown in style.

The victory marks a proud moment for the team after a tournament defined by determination, teamwork, and resilience.

With the regional title now secured, our focus shifts to the National Championships in Nyanza this April, where we will proudly represent Nairobi Region and look to carry this momentum onto the national stage.
