Today, I had the honor of representing H.E. Governor Ochilo Ayacko at an important fundraiser in Awendo, where transporters and Jua Kali artisans united to purchase a tipper truck—an essential move to enhance local enterprise.

Economic empowerment is our top priority, and this initiative reflects our administration's dedication to creating jobs, supporting small businesses, and fostering sustainable growth.

The event attracted both county and national leaders, highlighting our collective commitment to grassroots development.

Under Governor Ochilo's leadership, we are forging a stronger, more prosperous Migori—one opportunity at a time.

I had an opportunity to engage all the departments of the county government who presented before me the performance report for the first quarter of this financial year, highlighting completed development projects, projects earmarked for implementation, programs undertaken, and those in the pipeline, pending bills, challenges, and crosscutting issues.

I'm satisfied with the progress made by the county government departments and urge them to continue putting in the effort to serve the people of Migori effectively. I equally commend the various departments for completing development projects and emphasize the need for more collaboration between the different departments to enhance service delivery and ensure efficient use of resources.

Together with Migori County commissioner Mr. David Gitonga among other stakeholders, we held mid-morning deliberations to canvass the state of the county preparedness for the Elnino rains set to kick off later this month.

We continue to emphasize the need for inter-agency coordination to ensure an effective response to any disasters that may occur due to the heavy rains. We call on all stakeholders to work together to prevent any loss of lives and urge members of the public to heed warnings and advice from the authorities and prepare adequately for the impending weather.

I officiated the handing over/taking over ceremony for various CECMS and Chief Officers. It's an important event that signifies the transition of responsibilities and the commitment to serving the people of Migori.

The recent cabinet reshuffle indeed has the potential to bring enhanced efficiency in service delivery. Change can often bring new perspectives and ideas, which can positively impact the effectiveness of government services. I hope that the reshuffle will lead to a more streamlined and coordinated approach to serving the needs and aspirations of the people of Migori.
