The women sports industry is characterized by concerns over the gender wage gap, financial insecurity as a result of the short-term contracts and minimal and lack of investments in the sector. These issues, among others, continue to discourage women's and girls' equal participation, their development and growth as athletes.

Therefore, intentional and sustainable investments towards education, sensitization, and capacity building on women's sports sector are critical in unleashing the potential of women in various sports. This forum seeks to engage female athletes in discussions surrounding their challenges in sport and seek to develop solutions as well as networking opportunities with other women in the industry.
