Today marked the official launch of the FIFA series, graced by Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Sports Salim Mvurya, alongside his PS Elijah Mwangi and FKF leadership, including the President Hussein Mohamed and CEO.

The CS reaffirmed Kenya’s full preparedness to successfully host the tournament, calling on fans to turn up in large numbers and rally behind our women’s team as they represent the nation on home soil.

The matches will be held at Nyayo Stadium, adding to the growing list of major international sporting events recently hosted in Kenya, including CHAN, the World Rugby Sevens Series, and the just-concluded WRC Safari Rally.

According to the CS, this continued success in hosting global events is a clear reflection of the government’s strong commitment—under President William Ruto—to investing in youth development, nurturing talent, and elevating the country’s sporting profile on the world stage.
