Gracious Father,
As we step into this new Monday morning, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude. Thank You for the gift of life, for rest through the night, and for the opportunities that this new week holds.

We ask for Your guidance in all that we do today. Go before us in our workplaces, our homes, our schools, and every place our feet may tread. Strengthen us where we are weak, unite us where we are divided, and fill us with wisdom for every decision we must make.

May we support one another in love, speak words that build up, and walk in peace and purpose. Help us to be a light in every situation and to reflect Your grace wherever we go.

We dedicate this day and week to You, Lord. Lead us, cover us, and keep us. In Jesus’ nam, we pray,

Heavenly Father,
We come before You this Wednesday morning with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting our beloved nation, Kenya, into Your powerful hands.

Lord, we grieve the pain and injustice brought about by police brutality. We cry out for the families who have lost loved ones, for the innocent who suffer, and for the fear that shadows our streets. We ask, O God, that You bring comfort, healing, and justice. Raise leaders within the police force who will serve with integrity, restraint, and compassion. Let accountability replace impunity.

We also pray for deliverance from poor leadership, from corruption, oppression, selfish ambition, and deaf ears to the cries of the people. Father, raise up righteous, visionary, and servant-hearted leaders who fear You and love the people. Let justice roll on like a river, and righteousness like a never-failing stream.

Unite us as a people. Help us stand in truth and peace. Give courage to those who speak out and wisdom to those who act. Heal our land from the inside out—transforming hearts, systems, and structures for the good of all Kenyans.

This morning, we declare: Kenya belongs to You, Lord. Reign in our government, our institutions, and our communities.

The greatness of God is not in His distance, but in His nearness. The Holy Spirit is not grieved as a judge is offended, but as a friend is wounded—a friend who is greater and faithful no matter what.

We often speak of God's power—His majesty, His might, His unsearchable greatness. But Ephesians 4:30 opens our eyes to something astonishing: That the infinite God—the One who sealed us for the day of redemption—can be grieved. Not because He is weak, but because He is near. Not because He changes, but because He loves.

The greatness of God is not in His distance, but in His nearness. His glory does not shift—it shines more fully as we see the Holy Spirit not only empowering us but caring deeply for us. He is not distant in majesty, but present in mercy. He is not cold in sovereignty, but warm in affection. The Holy Spirit, who watches over every detail of our lives, feels the sorrow of our sin—not as a judge offended, but as a faithful friend wounded.

What kind of God is this? A God so great He stoops. So holy He stays. So majestic, He makes room for grief. And in that grief, we see just how much He loves.

He is exalted above the heavens—and yet, He knelt to wash our feet.
He is the Consuming Fire—and yet, He binds the bruised reed.
He commands angel armies—and yet, He listens when we whisper.
He inhabits eternity—and yet, He dwells within our hearts.
He holds the stars in place—and yet, He numbers every tear.
He rides upon the clouds—and yet, He walked our dusty roads.
He speaks and mountains tremble—and yet, He speaks peace to our storms.
He reigns in perfect holiness—and yet, He became sin for us.
He sealed us with His Spirit—and still, we grieve His heart.
He knows all things—and still, He delights when we pray.
He needs nothing from us—and yet, He longs for our love.
He is God over all—
