2016 NFL Africa Flag Continental Championship

We achieved a significant milestone in flag football, with the women's team securing the bronze medal after defeating Ghana. This historic win marks Kenya's first medal in the sport. The men's team, unfortunately, experienced a narrow loss to South Africa in overtime, ultimately finishing in fourth place.
These events were part of the 2026 NFL Africa Continental Championship, a groundbreaking tournament that featured all three divisions competing at a single venue for the first time.
Our youth team, represented by Mireama School, delivered a commendable performance, securing fifth place overall.
This entire experience has been a collective effort, and we are all proud to have contributed to this historic moment.
Moses Waweru is the man in charge of the Kenyan Refs at the NFL Africa Continentals, and he was the main ref for the Gold game championship game. He continues to set the bar for Kenyan referees. Congrats on your achievement and keep inspiring!
