Today, I shine a spotlight on a different youth from Mukuru Kwa Reuben slums,a reminder that talent, when matched with discipline and opportunity, can change destinies.
SAMMY KIOKO
Sammy Kioko of Tumaini High School completed his studies last year through a football education scholarship provided by Arizen.
Our journey with this young man has been long and meaningful, touching many aspects of life beyond the pitch.
He represented us in numerous tournaments and actively took part in the Mozzart Man of the Match food provision initiative, courtesy of Boniface Muchiri — Ulinzi Stars maestro and Harambee Stars regular.
When the time came for his scholarship, just as he was about to join Form Four, Sammy made a bold and rare decision: he chose to repeat Form Three in 2024, driven purely by his love for education.
His discipline, commitment, and football talent convinced the school to award him a two-year scholarship, which successfully came to an end in 2025.
We are incredibly proud of the young man Sammy has become and wish him nothing but success in all his future endeavors.

🌱 IMPACT SPOTLIGHT — 16 YEARS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE
Beneficiary Feature: Gabriel Gichimu
After sixteen years of community service, today I intentionally shine a spotlight on one of the beneficiaries whose journey truly reflects the power of sport as a tool for transformation.
Gabriel Gichimu is today a CAF C Diploma Licensed Professional Coach, a product of consistent mentorship, opportunity creation, and belief.
Gabriel was identified and nurtured from primary school through football development programs.
He was supported to join St. Paul Lugari High School (2017–2020) through a football education scholarship, balancing academics and sport with discipline and focus.
In 2021, he was placed at Uprising FC (FKF Division 2 – Nairobi Eastern Zone), gaining competitive exposure and professional discipline.
In 2022, he returned to serve as a coach at Arizen Soccer Academy, where his coaching badges were funded and he was strategically networked to Sakata Soka Academy, marking his first formal professional coaching engagement.
From 2023 to date, Gabriel has continued to grow his coaching career, serving with:
Reuben United (County League)
A1000 Street (Regional League)
Fusion Academy
Coaching attachment at Mathare United FC
Today, Gabriel stands not only as a professional coach, but also as a leader in the making, currently a potential Chairperson of Arizen Kwa Reuben CBO.
This journey confirms what community sport can achieve when opportunity meets commitment.
Legacy is not built in trophies, but in people.

🌿 FAREWELL STATEMENT — ARIZEN COMMUNITY SERVICE JOURNEY.
After sixteen years of dedicated community service, I have officially decided to step back from active community leadership and fully focus on the next phase of my personal journey.
Serving the children and youth of Mukuru Kwa Reuben through sport has been one of the greatest honors of my life.
Through Arizen Community-Based Sports Organization, we used football not just as a game, but as a tool for hope, discipline, education, rights awareness, and social transformation.
Together, we created opportunities where there were none, supported vulnerable children into education, promoted gender inclusion, and built safe spaces in a challenging environment.
This journey has shaped me deeply teaching me leadership, resilience, humility, patience, and the power of community.
It also came with real sacrifices: financial strain, volunteer fatigue, operational challenges, and personal burnout.
Despite these realities, I am proud of what we achieved with limited resources and unlimited heart.
I am grateful to every child who trusted the program, every parent who believed in the vision, every volunteer, coach, partner, school, and well-wisher who walked this journey with me.
Your support gave meaning to the mission.
As I transition into a new personal chapter, I carry forward the lessons, relationships, and purpose built through this work.
This is not the end of service, it is a redirection toward sustainability, growth, and renewed impact in different forms.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
With gratitude and respect,
