“Maboko Milayi” is a vibrant Congolese Lingala song, which translates to “Beautiful Hands.” It celebrates the beauty of women’s hands and their power to spread love and joy. Known for its infectious rhythm and energetic dance moves, the song highlights themes of love, unity, and the joy of life, encouraging listeners to come together and celebrate through music. “Papa Ngwasuma” is a classic Soukous track that showcases the artist’s signature energetic performances and intricate guitar work. Its lyrics often delve into themes of love, heartbreak, and social issues. This performance honors the
legendary musician behind the song, paying tribute to his lasting impact on African music and promising an unforgettable, high-energy experience. Awilo Longomba is a celebrated Congolese soukous artist, composer, drummer,
songwriter, dancer, and producer, known for pioneering the techno-soukous genre. His innovative approach to music has made him a household name in the world of African entertainment. Innocent Didace Balume, known professionally as Innoss’B, is a Congolese singer-songwriter, rapper, percussionist, dancer, and philanthropist. Dubbed the “Jeune Leader,” He has earned recognition for shaping the AfroCongo music genre and influencing the contemporary music scene in Africa. Koffi Olomidé is a legendary figure in Congolese Soukous music, renowned as a musician, singer, songwriter,
dancer, and bandleader. Widely regarded as one of the most influential African artists, his electrifying performances, innovative guitar work, and unique musical style have earned him a global fanbase. The performance will feature solos by Philip Osostsi and Paul Njagi, with the arrangement and direction by Wycliff Maeta.
