It has come to our attention that some people are going around spreading false information that Nanyuki TopLife sold their Div 2 slot to Nanyuki youths. This remarks are false and we would like to clarify;

1-Yes,the Div 2 slot was meant for Nanyuki TopLife after acquiring it from another team with the help of FKF Chairman Laikipia county

2-That we did not sell the slot to Nanyuki youths, we gave it to them for free.

3-That the board voted unanimously not play in Div 2 and focus on starting a football academy that will produce future stars in Nanyuki and a top level team that will carry the legacy few years to come.

4-That when the decision was made, they notified the FKF chairman about their decision who insisted the slot should remain in Nanyuki for the benefit of our community.

5-That after hours of negotiations, the Chairman and TM Nanyuki TopLife decided to give the slot to 1 team in Nanyuki and there was no other team that qualified for this big task than Nanyuki Youths.

6-That on Friday around 9:00 am, they notified TM Nanyuki Youths of their decision to give out their Div2 slot to them which he welcomed with open hands.

7-That after notifying Nanyuki youths TM and he agreed, the Fkf chairman had to call in for favors to change the name Nanyuki TopLife from the fixture and replace it with Nanyuki youths football club. (Which is still ongoing)

This is the truth. Please ignore anything else you will hear or read online. Credit to the FKF Chairman Mr Michael Ndung’u for ensuring the slot has remained in Nanyuki and his endless love for this beautiful game.

We wish Nanyuki youths all the best in future as they prepare to bring back the glory days back in Nanyuki stadium.
