The craving came while in church and I couldn't wait to get home and make this meal.
Comrade meal.
I wanted the ugali to be served Steaming Hot and eat it while itsm burns my fingers.🤣
And I did just that.
There is just something about ugali mayai. This comes second to rice and beans 🫘. I just cant explain the feeling I feel when I eat these two meals.

Good morning
Over the last few weeks, I had really gone back into a lot of wheat: chapatis, mandazis,cake , my guilty pleasures 😭.
And honestly, that masala milk tea with warm layered chapati was just hitting 😩. I’m not even a fan of milk tea, but I just found myself having it on a daily, 3 cups minimum.
And over time, I noticed I was now taking it daily, and I know what wheat,Dairy,sugars in all form does to me.
I had also slowed down a little bit on the exercises.
And in just a few weeks, I’ve gained maybe 3kgs. Which honestly, I look nice 😅, but definitely I know it’s going to take a toll on me later.My post op knee is always the first to complain.
And what’s interesting is that nothing major has happened. Nothing tragic. Nothing sad. Aty I am stress eating.no.infact ive maintained my routine eating times ,only that I am ingesting junk food and not healthier meals.
In fact, these have been some of the few weeks where I have genuinely felt so peaceful with everything going on in my life.
And I realized something about myself.
Sometimes it’s not even stress that throws you off your routine. Sometimes it’s comfort. Sometimes it’s peace.
For some of us, it’s in those quiet, comfortable moments that we slowly find ourselves slipping back into unhealthy habits without even noticing.
And that realization alone made me decide to go into a simple 21 days health reset.
Its nothing serious nor extreme. I Just want to slowly gett back into my routine again.
So right now:
No sugar.
No milk.
No gluten.
And I’ve also decided to exercise daily for 21 days.
And honestly, I love it.
I love the fact that sometimes you can look at your own trend and simply decide, “Yeah,when this happens, this is what follows.”
I become sluggish.
My weight goes up.
My sleep gets disturbed.
And I just don’t like how I feel.
So instead of pressure, guilt, or punishment,you just slowly start changing your life again.
Yesterday, I had such a nice meal of fruits, took enough water, and slept early.
Today I woke up, went for an easy run, came back home and did some exercises.
I’ve done my gratitude, and I even went live on TikTok while working out and it was received so well 🥹.
And honestly, I just like the fact that we are not perfect, but we can always get back up.
So if you’re here feeling like your weight has gone overboard and wondering what you’re going to do, just know this:
↗️You can always start again.
↗️You are allowed to start over and over and over again because that is what fitness is about.
💪🏾Fitness is a lifestyle, and no one said that a lifestyle is linear.
So go out there and start again. Again and again and again.
