We want to say a HUGE final thank you to all those who supported our fundraiser for Lotus FC. With your help, we raised over $900!!!

Last weekend, we handed over all the new equipment to the team, including a complete home and away kit, coach’s polo, boots, shin pads, footballs, goalkeeper’s gloves, first aid kit and more, valued at over $1300. We hope this will help the club continue their fantastic work giving a chance and a safe, inclusive space to all.

The rain may have kept a few folks away, but it didn’t stop us from having a truly special evening. Our main goal was to screen the Lotus Sports Club documentary — and we did it! That alone made the night a success.

Thanks to your support, we’ve already raised $700 and hit two exciting milestones in our journey with Lotus FC 🌈⚽

🌸⚽ So who are Lotus FC? ⚽🌸

Lotus FC is more than just a football club — it’s a safe space, a family, and a symbol of hope and pride for Cambodia’s LGBTQ+ community.

Founded by coach Pa Vann in 2009, Lotus FC is Cambodia’s first LGBTQ+ football club, based in rural Kampong Chhnang province.

From the start, the team brought together both q***r and straight players — a balance that Pa Vann has intentionally preserved to foster camaraderie and inclusion on and off the field.

But their journey hasn’t been easy. They’ve faced discrimination from opposing coaches and spectators. In one striking moment from the Lotus Sports Club documentary, Pa Vann confronts a group of hecklers and firmly defends his players: “I won’t accept people being rude to my team. It’s unacceptable.”

Despite these challenges, Lotus FC continues to play with pride, resilience, and unity. 💪🌈 Let’s stand with them.

Lotus FC មិនត្រឹមតែជាក្លឹបបាល់ទាត់ប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ វាជាកន្លែងសុវត្ថិភាព ក្រុមគ្រួសារ និងជានិមិត្តរូបនៃក្តីសង្ឃឹម និងមោទនភាពសម្រាប់សហគមន៍ LGBTQ+ របស់កម្ពុជា។

While the result wasn’t what we’d hoped for (we lost count of the score after a while…) we are so honoured and privileged to have had the opportunity to play this year’s champions of the Cambodian Women’s League. To grow as a team we know it’s so important to get out there and play as many teams as possible and keep challenging ourselves. Thank you to Phnom Penh Crown Women's Team for your hospitality and for the great learning experience. We hope this match is just one of many more to come. 🙌🙌🙌

It builds confidence, leadership, and community, and every kid and adult should have access to it without limitation. That's why we're raising funds for Lotus FC, a football club in Kampong Chhnang that's become a home for both girls and trans kids. The club has been a lifeline for many, but their resources are limited.
