A per year for life! Climate Thought for today. . Just as the Curly CFL lights replaced incandescent a few years ago, LEDs have improved enough to make an upgrade work again. Better for the environment, of course. The math will vary by location, but it is most favorable for the environment where there is still a lot of fossil-fuel power generation. and most favorable to the wallet in places with high electricity costs. Hawaii and the Caribbean and most favored.
My personal savings in are $2 USD every year per bulb and the carbon footprint is cut in half
The key to increasing adoption of renewable generation is energy storage both and generation are already competitive but need to make them reliable base load.

Everyday folks would like to make an impact on climate change, but nobody is offering practical advice. Here the BBC reports that British SMBs are being asked to measure their carbon footprint, but are clueless about how, and have no time in any case. Better to publish some ideas instead of asking for forms filliing

What can you do about this? If you are like me, not much. The trouble with all this messaging is that it tells folks there is a huge problem - and then leaves them with confusion as to what, if anything, they can do about it. If you don't happen to be a large power utility, what's the message?
