Inspiring day yesterday at the offices of the St. Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committeefor the "Women in Sport" conference attended by the National Federations of all sports under the National Olympic umbrella in the Federation. Excellent presentations from Governor General Marcella Liburd, SKNOC Chairperson Jennifer Nero, Director of Sports Jeffrey Hazel and SKNOC President Dennis Knight. Myself and Suze Jared Bennett represented the SKN Triathlon Federation and it was an honour to be part of such an important day to celebrate and support the growth and empowerment of women in sport.
I am proud that the sport of Triathlon is (and always has been) a gender equal sport.

For both Men and Women.
Which is exactly the way it should be.
So on International women's day, a round of applause to both the women and men who support women in sport. Let's continue to encourage equal opportunities and equal participation for women in sport
