Haidong!
Greetings to all Pan-American HaidongGumdo martial artists! I hope you and your training is going well. We are very happy to announce our next HaidongGumdo Pan-American Championships. The PanAm championships has an interesting history dating back to Utah, USA in 2011. Since then we tried the PanAm Mulimpia, in Las Vegas, Nevada 2016 and 2018. Some of our senior leaders have recommended that we concentrate the championships on its original purpose, HaidongGumdo.
So with this in mind, we are hosting our next HaidongGumdo Pan-American Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah, April 12-14, 2024. Please reserve these dates for your participation. We have worked hard selecting both the dates and location for the best event possible, and we hope you can make these dates available for this event. We understand that some students may miss a few days of school, and we hope you can work with their teachers so that their studies do not suffer.
This exciting event will include many individual and group competitions. Korea will be sending Masters for expert training seminars and a special Demonstration team. There will be Black Belt testing for those who are eligible for promotion. And much, much more!
We are working very hard to bring to you the original HaidongGumdo style championships that we have loved so much in the past, as well as creating additional divisions giving each participant more events to compete in. We will be sending tournament rules and categories out as soon as possible.
Our main mission and focus for having this championship is to continue to offer the next generation their chance to have their adventures become the stories of the future. Without our competitions and demonstrations how would any of us know each other and our martial arts?
It is our goal that this is a new beginning for a consistent and successful HaidongGumdo PanAm championships that we can be proud of and look forward to many future events.
