조용현 군은 사료 주기, 축사 청소, 동물 돌보기 등 다양한 목장 일을 함께하며 늘 일손이 부족한 목장에 큰 도움을 주고 있습니다. 특히 성실하고 책임감 있는 태도로 맡은 일을 꾸준히 해내며, 목장의 하루하루에 든든한 힘이 되어주고 있습니다.

함께 땀 흘리며 만들어가는 시간 속에서 서로에게 의미 있는 경험을 나누고 있어 더욱 감사한 마음입니다.

We would like to introduce Yonghyun Jo, a WWOOFer visiting our ranch for the first time this year.

He has been a great help with various ranch tasks, including feeding the animals, cleaning the barns, and taking care of livestock. With his sincere and responsible attitude, he consistently supports the daily work on the farm, making a meaningful difference where extra hands are always needed.

We are truly grateful for the time and effort he shares with us, and for the meaningful experiences we are building together.

2024년의 우프 호스트 활동을 마치며

호주에서 온 Sophie 를 시작으로, 여러 나라의 우퍼들을 만날 수 있었습니다.

호주, 미국, 일본, 영국, 프랑스, 캐나다, 독일, 싱가폴, 대만, 노르웨이, 폴란드, 체코, 벨기에..

여러 나라에서 온 우퍼들은 모두 자연을 아끼고 사랑하는 마음을 가지고 있었기에 금새 친해지고 즐겁게 일을 할 수 있었습니다.
24년 우들라농장에 찾아와준 모든 우퍼들, 그리고 이런 기회를 준 한국 우프에게 감사의 말씀을 드립니다.

내년에도 많은 우퍼들과 즐거운 시간을 갖기를 기대합니다.

This year started with Sophie from Australia, and I got to meet WWOOFers from so many different countries.

Australia, the US, Japan, the UK, France, Canada, Germany, Singapore, Taiwan, Norway, Poland, the Czech Republic, Belgium…

Everyone who came had such a love for nature, which made it easy to connect and work together.
A huge thank you to all the WWOOFers who visited ODLA Farm in 2024 and to WWOOF Korea for making it all possible.

🌾🐓 “What’s life without a little play?

During my stay in South Korea, I took it upon myself to live out a long-time dream of mine: farming in the countryside! After having such an impactful experience with in Italy a few summers back, I knew I wanted to work again with this organization.

달팽이 농장 (Slow-life Snail Farm) was an opportunity for me to be reminded of my love for interpersonal relations. While slowing down my own life, I was able to appreciate the sacrifice that goes into organic agriculture while making global friendships in the process. Of course, I was also inspired to continue my language-learning journey, as I worked hard to communicate with the aunties in Korean and learn about their life journeys.

Thank you WWOOF Korea for the great memories and friendships!”

When Hyeran and Scarlett first met it was 2011 at a global WWOOF meeting in South Korea 🇰🇷

Since that time the Federation of WWOOF Organisations was formed and Hyeran and Scarlett have been running national WWOOF organisations - and - naturally they found there was plenty of common ground when they met again recently at the smallholding in Shropshire where Scarlett’s been hosting WWOOFers for nearly a decade.

Gingo the farm cat was very pleased to meet Hyeran and finds the best time to introduce himself to people is when their laptop is open 😸

[8월 우프랑 농農!담] 우프코리아 호스트님 중 올미남이 있어요. (일명 ‘올’리브에 ‘미’친 ‘남’자랍니다) 제주 귀농 4년차 되는 올리브스탠다드 이정석 호스트님은 제주 화산섬의 햇살, 바람, 땅으로 키운 제주산 올리브를 키우고 있어요.

무엇보다 올리브하면 떠오르는 올리브 오일, 절임 제품이 있지만 올리브스탠다드는 올리브를 활용한 탄산수, 차, 비누, 코스메틱은 물론 메종드올리브(Maison d‘Olive)라는 커뮤니티를 꾸리면서 한국에 올리브 문화를 만들어나가고 있어요.

일을 하며 오감으로 자연을 느낄 수 있어서 좋았습니다. 도시의 빠른 생활 패턴과 달리 우핑을 하며 적당한 노동과 여가를 가지면서 마음의 여유도 되찾았습니다. 제가 있던 농장은 수도원에서 운영하며 마을이 이루어져 있었는데, 식사 시간이나 저녁 여가 시간을 통해 이웃 분들과 교류하며 느끼는 기쁨도 컸습니다. 급격한 도시화로 잃어버린 ’마을‘을 경험했다고 할까요? 자연과 사람의 따뜻함과 소중함을 다시 한 번 느끼는 계기가 되었습니다.

[7월 우프랑 농農!담] 자연따라 동거동락!

닭, 염소, 돼지, 소, 칠면조, 강아지, 고양이와 사람들이 각자 이름으로 불리며 함께 살아가는 곳이 있어요. 7월 농담러는 우프코리아 호스트로 충북 음성에서 자연순환목장 그리고 팜생츄어리(Farm Sanctuary)를 운영하고 있는 이연재, 장훈 호스트님의 이야기입니다.

자연목장은 흙-식물-동물-사람-다시 흙으로의 선순환을 실천하며 다양한 텃밭식물, 농장 동물, 그리고 목부 가족이 함께 합니다.

충북 음성에 위치한 푸르미체험농장은 치매를 앓는 어르신들을 위한 체험프로그램을 운영하고, 체험활동은 아이들을 대상으로 진행된다.
호스트님은 비닐하우스에서 유기농 방울토마토를 재배하신다.
멀칭비닐이 덮이지 않은 곳은 쇠비름과 망초, 까마중이 자라나 흙을 덮었다.
그룹우프를 함께 한 우퍼들은 호미로 잡초를 열심히 뽑았다.
농사에 진심인 분들과 만나서 땀흘려 일하고 교류한 시간은 나의 영혼을 돌보는 시간이었다.

Purmi Experience Farm in Eumseong run programs for the children and elderly people with dementia. They grew organic cherry tomatoes in a greenhouse. Most of time we pulled off the weeds and covered soil. It was a truely precious time as we got to interact with passionate farmers and work hard.

달팽이텃밭은 호스트 세 분이 자신만의 색채로 가득 채우고 계신 곳입니다.
5월 4일부터 5월 6일까지 2박3일 고추심기 프로그램이었지만 변화무쌍한 날씨 탓에 블루베리밭 잡초뽑기와 멀칭을 하며 일손을 돕고 왔답니다.
호스트님께서 준비해 주신 점심은 직접 재배한 농작물을 사용해 본연의 맛과 풍미를 살리는 레시피로 만들어져서 더 맛있었습니다.
2박3일이라는 짧은 그룹우프를 끝으로 각자의 삶으로 돌아갔지만, 이번 활동은 많은 것을 체험하며 느낀 뜻깊은 활동이었습니다. 농촌과 농사, 친환경에 대해 소극적이었으나 적극적으로 관심을 갖고 행동해야겠다는 생각을 하며 그룹우프를 마쳤습니다.

The Snail Garden is a farm run by three unique hosts. Originally the task of Group WWOOF was to plant peppers for 3 days, but the weather changed, we helped to reoraganize the blueberry fields.
The lunch prepared by the host was full of fresh and season vegetables from the garden.
After coming back to the city life, many things still remain in our heart. These days I got interested in the life of the countryside and eco-friendly lifestyle.
