While most of us have been enjoying the holiday weekend, today was podium training day for Karthik and Justin in Rio, Brazil.

A huge congratulations to Alison Laidler, (Motions Unlimited Gymnastics Cayman Islands) and Maddy Gutu, Yesenia Marrero, and Kyle Perry (Apex Gymnastics - Cayman Islands) on successfully completing their USA Gymnastics Compulsory Levels 1–5 Judging Certification!

This is an important step in developing qualified officials and strengthening gymnastics in the Cayman Islands.

And they’re off!

Gymnasts Sienna Santiago and Justin Spencer, with their coaches Alison Laidler and Kyle Perry, have begun their journey to Rio, Brazil for the Pan American Artistic Gymnastics Championships, where they’ll join teammate Karthik Adapa on the ground. Traveling with the team is physiotherapist Rose Watt, helping keep everyone strong and competition ready.

From Cayman to the continental stage! We’re behind you all the way. Let’s go team! 🇰🇾💪

We are proud to announce that Justin Spencer will be representing the Cayman Islands at the 2026 Senior Pan American Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, taking place June 17–21, 2026.

This marks Justin’s first Senior Pan American Championship competition, and we are incredibly proud of his hard work, dedication, and achievement in reaching this level.

We wish Justin the very best as he takes the international stage and proudly represents the Cayman Islands.

Last week, Coach Maddy and Justin had the pleasure of visiting Island Primary to speak with Reception and Year 1 students about building strong, healthy bodies through positive daily habits.

The session included interactive Q&A, fun demonstrations, and plenty of enthusiastic participation from the students.
