When emotions control us, we suffer. When we can hold them, we find peace. Itโs really that simple.
If we go a bit deeper, here are a few steps towards that:
1. Observing your emotional experience from the side, we call it the witness consciousness
2. Pausing before the reaction takes over
3. Understanding where the emotion comes from, and especially checking if the reaction building inside you will actually serve you in the long run
4. Acting according to what you saw in the previous step
A Small Challenge for This Week, In one moment of tension. Just notice:โจ
Can you pause? โจTake a breath? โจObserve what is happening? โจโจGive it a try. That small space can be the difference between heaven and hell.

There are periods in life where everything keeps moving. One thing leads to the next, days fill up with tasks and responsibilities.
And somewhere in all of that, you can slowly lose the connection to yourself.
It is not always dramatic,โจ
Usually, it happens slowly when we donโt pay attention, small pieces of ourselves start to chip away.
So, take a moment and ask:
What is one thing I can do that allows me to just be me?
It doesnโt have to be big.โจSitting with your morning coffee without distraction,โจOr taking a walk without your phone,ย
Just giving your full attention to something you enjoy.
These small moments matter.
The more you give space to yourself in this way,โจthe easier it is to stay connected and true to yourself.

Anxiety.
It begins when the mind refuses to accept uncertainty. It resists the fact that it doesnโt know what will happen. So it starts spinning. What if this happens? What if that goes wrong?
It begins to imagine the worst.
And the more it tries to solve the uncertainty, the more it discovers how much is out of control. That is what fuels the loop.
But, there is a way out.โจAnd no, it does not require stopping the thoughts but just allowing this simple experience:โจ
โI donโt know what will happen.โ
When this is allowed, even for a moment, the loop loses its energy. Because in that moment, you are no longer inside the thought.
You are aware of it.
There is the thought. There is the sensations in the body. And there is also something else. The part that sees.
This is what we call witness consciousness.โจ
It simply notices what is happening now. From here, awareness is higher and emotions come into balance. The thoughts still come but you donโt have to follow each one.
ย So next time the โwhat ifโ appears. Pause once or twice.
Instead of answering it, just say quietly, โI donโt know.โ
