2004 වර්ෂයේදී ඕස්ට්‍රේලියානු ක්‍රිකට් කණ්ඩායම ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ටෙස්ට් සංචාරයකට එනවා. මේ ටෙස්ට් තරඟාවලිය 3-0 ලෙස ඕස්ට්‍රේලියාව ජය ගන්නේ ඉතිහාසයේ ශ්‍රී ලංකාව තුලදී ශ්‍රී ලංකාව white wash කරපු පළමු කණ්ඩායම විදිහට ඉතිහාසගත වෙමින්. මේ තරඟාවලිය තුළ එවකට Courtney Walsh සතුව තිබුන වැඩිම ටෙස්ට් කඩුළු ගණනක් ලබා ගත් පන්දු යවන්නා වීමේ වාර්තාව තමන් සතු කරගන්න ශ්‍රී ලංකාවෙ මුත්තයියා මුරලිදරන් ළඟා වෙමින් තිබුනත් ඒ වාර්තාව ඔහු සතු කරගන්න පුළුවන් උනේ නෑ.

2004 වර්ෂයට කලින් දෙවරක් මුරලිදරන්ට මේ චෝදනාව එල්ල උනා. ඒ 1995/1996 ඕස්ට්‍රේලියාවේ තරඟ සංචාරයේ සහ ඊට වසර දෙකකට පසු නැවත වරක් 1998 වර්ෂයේදී.ජීව විද්‍යාත්මක විශ්ලේෂණ වලින් මුරලිගෙ පන්දු යැවීමේ ඉරියව්ව සැක සහිත නොවන බව ප්‍රකාශ කර තිබුනත් මෙවර චෝදනාව සිදුවුනේ මුරලිගේ දුස්රා පන්දුවට අදාලවයි. මේ සියල්ල නැවතත් 2004 දි උඩට ආවේ අළු යට සැඟවිල තිබුන ගිනි පුපුරු වගේ.

ඒ වසරේදීම අප්‍රේල් මාසයේදී කරපු පරීක්ෂණ වලින් අනාවරණය වෙනවා මුරලිගේ දුස්රා පන්දුව යොමු කරද්දි ඔහුගේ අත අංශක 14 කින් නැමෙනවා කියලා . තව දුරටත් පර්යේෂණ කළත් ඒක අංශක 10 දක්වා පමණ තමයි අඩු කරගන්න පුළුවන් උනේ. මේ කාල සීමාවේ නීතියේ හැටියට පන්දුවක්‌ යොමු කරද්දි තිබුනේ අංශක 5 ක උපරිම සීමාවක් විතරයි.

කොහොම උනත් මුරලිගේ මේ පරීක්ෂණ කරලා වාර්තාවක් ඉදිරිපත් කරන කණ්ඩායමට තිබුනේ වෙනම අදහසක්. ඔවුන් තීරණය කරනවා මුරලිට දුස්රා පන්දුව යොමු කරන්න බැහැ කියන නිර්ණායක දෙනවා වෙනුවට, දඟ පන්දු යවන තව කීපදෙනෙක්ගෙ database එකක් අරගත යුතුයි කියන දේ.මොකද කියනවා නම් 2003 දි කරපු අද්‍යයනයකින් අදුරගෙන තිබුනා ප්‍රබල පන්දු යවන්නන් 21ගෙ පන්දු යැවීම සැලකීමේදී පන්දු 34 කින් පන්දු 31 පමණ එවකට තිබුන නීතියට අනුව නීති විරෝධී බව.

ඒ කොහොම උනත් ICC එකට මේ සඳහා තවත් data ඕනේ උනා තීරණයකට එළඹෙන්න. මේකට ගැලපෙනම අවස්ථාවක් උනා 2004 වසරේ පැවතුනු ශුරයන්ගේ කුසලානය. මොකද කියනවා නම් ඒ තරඟාවලියට ලෝකේ හොඳම ක්‍රීඩකයන් සහභාගී වෙන නිසා සහ ICC එකේ විධිමත් අද්‍යයනයක් යටතේ ඒක සිද්ද වෙන නිසා.👍🏻

2004 අවසානයේ මේ පරීක්ෂණ වල ප්‍රතිපල ලැබුනා සහ ඒ ලැබුන ප්‍රතිපල පුදුම සහගතයි.
ඒ ප්‍රතිපල වලට අනුව අංශක 5 ට අඩු පන්දු යැවීමේ ඉරියව්වක් තිබිලා තිබුනේ පා දඟ පන්දු යවන Ramnaresh Sarwan ට පමණයි. ඒ report එකට අනුව ක්‍රිකට් ඉතිහාසයේ 99% ක්‌ පන්දු යවන්නන්ට තිබිලා තිබුනේ නීති විරෝදී පන්දු යැවීමේ ඉරියව්වක්, එවකට තිබුන නීතියට අනුව. මේ නම් ඇතුලට ඕස්ට්‍රේලියාවේ Glenn McGrath, Shaun Po***ck වගේ නම් ඇතුලත් උනා😮

ඒ කාල සීමාවේ නීතියේ හැටියට දඟ පන්දු යවන්නෙක් ට අංශක 5 කුත්, මද වේග පන්දු යවන්නෙක්ට අංශක 7.5 කුත් සහ වේග පන්දු යවන්නෙක්ට අංශක 10 කුත් ලෙස. මේ කියන පරීක්ෂණය කරපු Dr. Marc Potus, Professor Bruce Elliott, Dr. Paul Hurrion කියා සිටිය මිනිසෙක්ගේ පියවි ඇහැට අඳුරගන්න පුළුවන් අංශක 15 ක සීමාවට වැඩි angle එකක් විතරයි කියන දේ.

Matheesha Pathirana has been nothing short of sensational in the IPL since his debut, especially considering the high pressure role he plays as a death over specialist.

In terms of economy rate, he holds an impressive 8.23 rate, the second best among bowlers with a minimum of 15 innings since his debut. This is particularly remarkable given that he bowls the toughest overs primarily in the death, where runs flow freely. Only Jasprit Bumrah, widely regarded as the gold standard for T20 bowling, has a better economy in this period.

Pathirana’s bowling average of 19.12 ranks third, behind Andre Russell and Bumrah, showing how consistently he takes wickets while maintaining control.
