🏏 KBCL Season 3 – Grand Finale Showdown! 🏆

What a breathtaking finale at the Wikramabahu College Grounds, Gampola! The stage was set, the crowd roared, and the two giants Katugastota Youth Cricket Club and Udunuwara Cricket went head-to-head in an unforgettable clash for the crown.

Batting first, Katugastota YSC posted a competitive 191/9 in 40 overs, with Musthak’s unbeaten 49 off 62 holding the innings together. Rahmathulla (32) and Samik Basith (29) added vital runs, while Udunuwara bowlers Rimzan (3/25) and Imran Khan (2/24) kept the pressure on.

In reply, Udunuwara Cricket fought valiantly. Mafraz led the charge with a brilliant 56 off 73, supported by Hassan Sana’s gritty 38 off 80. But the Katugastota bowlers rose to the occasion, with Fairos (3/28), Riyas (2/22) and Askar (2/44) striking at crucial moments. Udunuwara fell just short, bowled out for 180 in 39.4 overs – a heartbreaking 10-run defeat!
