🫵 “In my 12 years involved with 🇱🇰🏏Sri Lanka Cricket, based on my experience, the value and impact brought by foreign coaches regarding technical matters is actually quite limited. Most of their contribution lies in player management and tactical strategy. Those things are important when it comes to winning matches.

Once players reach the national team, you cannot completely change their techniques at that stage of their careers. Those changes need to be developed from the Under-19 and Sri Lanka A team levels together with Local coaches. However, there is one thing when a player becomes successful, Local coaches often like the credit and praise for that success to go to them.”
