Farewell to Our Esteemed Coach – Mr. Dileepa Bandara

It is with deep respect and heartfelt gratitude that we bid farewell to Mr. Dileepa Bandara, a long-standing coach who has been an integral part of our school’s sporting legacy.

Coach Dileepa has been more than just a trainer—he has been a mentor, motivator, and role model to generations of young athletes. His unwavering commitment, discipline, and passion for excellence have inspired countless students to achieve their fullest potential, both on and off the field.

As he moves on to the next chapter of his life, we extend our sincere appreciation for the immense contribution he has made to Vidyartha College and to the lives of so many of our old boys.

We wish him every success, happiness, and fulfillment in the journey ahead. His legacy will forever be remembered and cherished.

It is with deep sadness that we share the demise of Vidyartha Old Athlete, Damith Karunarathne.

The funeral service will be held on 12th June 2025 at 2:00 PM at Madhawela.

Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

The Vidyartha Under-20 athletic team won third place in the 4x800m relay at the Relay Carnival Championship 2025, held at the Mahinda Rajapakse Stadium in Biyagama

Old Vidyartha athlete Sanjeewa Weerakkodi represented the Sri Lanka athletics team as a coach and team manager at the 2025 World Indoor Athletics Championships held in China.
