A high scoring thriller comes to an end as our Falcons take home the victory and the battle between the Falcon and the Lion ends 3 - 0 with our Falcons up on top🔥

This was the 3rd clash between one of our oldest rivals and the heat was on indeed.

The Lions captain Buddimal won the toss and invited our falcons to bat first and as always we were up to the task,

Even though we lost a few wickets in quick succession we were quick to make a comeback as an incredible 89 run partnership by star batsman Dulara and our Anchor Malitha along with some quick cameos in the lower order by Kalpa and Dulmith made sure our boys ended up with 303 runs in just 41 overs. Dulara ending his innings with 74(50) and Malitha with 44(47)

In return the Lions came with all guns blazing as their opener Nikhil came on the attack along with his partner Keven putting up an opening stand of 75 runs along with another brilliant partnership by Keven and Thevan of 103 runs for the 1st wicket. And it seemed as if a massive 303 run chase was possible,

However our Falcons did not back down, Captain Avishka decided to bring in the wild card into the attack as our wicket keeping all rounder Malitha left his gloves behind to spin his webs.
a brilliant come back bowling performance by Malitha along with our young gun Kalpa dragged our boys back into the winning path as they bagged an incredible 7 wickets between them flipping the game on its head and our Falcons won the match by 23 runs ending the Trilogy 3-0.

A dominant performance from our falcons and we ended up on a winning note💙

Kelun Life Science came out to bat first and our falcons struck early and was consistent with the attack as we were able to restrict the opposition for just 110 runs. Our very own “Express” Hasitha Wickramasingha bagged 4 wickets and Praveen with 2 more wickets.

Walking out to bat our falcons lost a few wickets early on however a solid partnership Uvindu and our Captain Avishka Thennakoon made sure we finish on a winning note and that too with a dominant 7 wickets victory.
Captain Avishka ended the score with a quick 32(21) and Uvindu with a solid 30(53) .

From the previous fiery t20 matches our falcons move back to the 50 over format this sunday as we take on a new challenger in the form of Kelun Life Science.

Coming in from winning the 1st game the 2nd match was reduced to a 15 over game.

Batting first our Falcons were able to put up a decent score of 120 in the 15 overs with our falcons Dulara Abeysinghe scoring 28 (17) , Harendra B Mahagedara with 23*(18) and Malitha Wijerathna with 16* (13)

Taking to the field our our Falcons were able to break through one of the openers however it was all Rahula C.O.B from there as they went onto to chase the target in just 10 overs with their batters Janith scoring a brilliant 50 (27)

Ending up the 2 match T20 game with 1 victory each. We would have liked to ended up with 2 victories however it was 2 T20 matches that were filled with fire😌🔥

What a dominant performance that was by our Falcons🔥
Wining the toss Captain Avishka Thennakoon decided to bowl first and our boys were up to the task, continuing his good form with the bowl Captain Avishka Thennakoon bagged 2 crucial wickets along side our Spin Maestro Kevin Dhananjan and our star spinner Chanuth Manage bagged 3 wickets tearing down the middle order and restricting the opposition for a formidable 139.

As our falcons took on to bat we lost one of our openers early however our aggressive batter Hasitha Wickramasingha and Classy Chanuth Manage kept the scoreboard ticking at a decent rate to put a massive partnership of 92 runs with Chanuth Manage dominating with both bat and bowl ended his innings with 69*(55) and Hasitha scoring a quick 44 of just (29) .

And Chanuth Manage added the cherry in top by finishing the match with a massive six in the 17th over bringing on a dominant victory for our falcons😌💙🔥
