From my little corner East of Buchanan I write this piece

The photo below are not the players paid recently by the county but some former players of Grand County Bassa County.

Commendation

I extend to the Local Leadership of Grand Bassa County and the outgoing Leadership of the Bassa Sports Association my over gratefulness for paying the past players of Bassa who were due payment.

It is a good step as the county meet draws near for Grand Bassa County to clear some of her wages arrears

I hope this year's County meet will have nothing to do with players and staff arrears next year.

Hon.Superintendent , I wish you good luck as you get set to clinch your first County meet trophy especially from the boys- as the first youthful Superintendent of the Land of Thomas Buchanan and Charles Williams .( Former Governor and Former Superintendent)

Arrear

But Supt, the Local Leadership has an Arrear for the past Leadership of BSA from the Grand Geedeh County Zone of the 2018/2019 National County meet.

We didn't qualify from the Zone but we risked our lives to travel to the over 300 Kilometers roads . It was during the rainy season , imagine passing through B**g and Nimba to reach the Land of Former Liberian President Samuel K. Doe.

The teams did their best - some guys in the Leadership played a losing card. The girls secured a space on the carpet,while the Bassa Boys left in Zulu forest.

We came back two days to Christmas with nothing to show our families. It was humiliating and filled with pressure from our kids.

Arrear is arrear,we too need our money!

Superintendent Baikpeh ,I know your efforts applied while we were in Grand Geedeh County to see Grand Bassa County progress to next Level of the 2018/2019 national County sports meet. It didn't yield fruit because of some guys who got their egos above the county interest in the Leadership of BSA.

We will add our prayers to the pastor who will be selected to pray for the county as usual,if only we are giving our money.

Prayer is the master key!

Hon.Janjay Baikpeh, I'm hearing that you are expected to announce the new leadership of the Bassa Sports Association (BSA) with the name of Veteran Bassa Player Jerry Vonyeegar at the top of your listing.
I support the idea. Jerry has the experience on the field mixed with Youth development and Leadership.
He will be a great help to Bassa once more getting her hands of the precious 🏆trophy.

Jerry won the MVP in the 2007 Sports for Peace County Meet won by Grand Bassa County.

I heard that Tony FC Coach is training with the team- he should remain there or alternative should be Grand Kru County winning coach . He has a Bassa link and is willing to come in to help.
Deputy Coach- Martin Toclo: Martin Toclo is an experience 3rd Division coach and also youth football Career developer. He has good eyes for players and has control over them. He's also an agent and Sport Administrator .
Sam Okotie - Team Trainer
Mr. Okotie held similar position with Rivercess County - helping them to lot of wins.

Pls say no to leaders interest in the selection of players. Let the coaches do their job. They will be held responsible if we do not progress. So,pls give them chance
