Messengers of Hope

God has given us a heart to plant churches and train leaders in the rural areas of Liberia. Please pray with us as we conduct a workshop in Carlors Town on Saturday April 11.

In fulfillment of the Great Commission, we are calling on the entire Christian community to join us in the disciple-making process—raising disciples who make disciples (Matthew 28:18–20; Mark 16:15).

Today marks our first day at our new training center, and we are grateful for this new beginning.

Today, our Church Planting and Church Administration students sat for their first test of the year 2026. We remain committed to training more church workers, ministers, and pastors in fulfillment of the Great Commission.
Your prayers and support are greatly needed as we prepare for our first church plant in March.

Over the past five years, Messengers of Hope have trained nearly 200 pastors, church planters, and leaders. This spring, we are sending some of our strongest leaders to plant a church in a remote area of Liberia where many people cannot read. Because of this, we are using Bible story cloths. These visual tools help communicate Scripture and disciple new believers through oral storytelling.

A generous supporter was so encouraged by this new church plant that he proposed a way to help fund the church plant by sponsoring Bible story cloth squares. He is kickstarting this effort by purchasing the first square for $150 and inviting others to join him. When all of the squares are sponsored, the entire church plant will be funded. The cloth will remain with the new church to support ongoing ministry, and we will prepare a new cloth for the next church plant.

Our Bible Storying Cloth has arrived in Liberia. Messengers of Hope will use this tool to plant churches and share the gospel in rural areas where there are extremely high rates of illiteracy. The Bible Storying Cloth is a wonderful tool to communicate the message of Christ to oral learners in a way that makes sense to them. This colorful storying cloth has 42 squares vividly illustrating stories from creation to Christ. Pray and partner with us as we seek to plant a church this March.

Final meeting with United Christian Assembly Central Church went well today as we prepare to train disciples who will make disciples.
We are grateful for partnership, vision, and commitment to fulfilling the Great Commission. May God’s work through this training bear lasting fruit.

Yesterday, we were introduced to Pastor George Hoto by the pastor of our current center in Lower Margibi County. They have expressed a strong desire for the training to also be conducted at their church.

You desire to reach others with the gospel, but you are unable to do so directly—your prayers and support are greatly needed.
