LFA Suspends Orange Women’s Division Due To MRU Tournament
The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has suspended the Orange women’s division.
The suspension is due to the senior women’s team participation in the Mano River Union (MRU) football for peace tournament in Kenema, Sierra Leone from 24-28 April.
In an April 21 email to stakeholders, LFA competitions manager Sando Fahnbulleh said the suspension is in keeping with chapter six, article two, section 1.3 of the women's regulations.
It says “where a club has contributed three players or two goalkeepers in any of the national team’s home and away matches, the club’s match(es) shall be postponed and the same shall be rescheduled by the secretariat five days after the national team’s international engagement.”
The suspension will also affect matches in the Petro Trade Cup, which are scheduled for 24 April.
Determine Girls were crowned champions after a 4-1 victory over Blanco FC at the Tusa Field in Gardnersville on 17 April.
But there are still interesting matches because three teams, including Island Queens, will be relegated to the lower division.

With 5 Defeats In Roll , The Hippopotamus Girls of Harbel Have Promised A Win Today.
The Orange LFA Women's Division League returns to Harbel today following the NCSM break .
Match Day 7 _HIPPO FC VS ISLAND QUEENS at the Harbel College's Sport Pitch@ 3:30 PM .
# Hippo FC (the only women first division side in Margibi) have promised to bounce back to winning .
The Hippo FC girls, after playing 5 games with 5 defeats in roll have promised to savage a win against the Queens and regain their spirit of winning in the Orange LFA Women's Division League .
Their only win came in Match Day 1 against Ambassador FC at this same venue with Comfort Vivi scoring the only goal of the club this entire season .
Since then, Hippo is yet to score in the league , yet to collect a single point , least to say win !
Hippo FC is currently second from bottom on the Orange LFA Women's Division , only topping her today's opponents , Islands Queens , who're yet to collect a single win in the league this season .
# It's a battle of "RELEGATION ZONE " kissers !
What's happening to the club that once topped the LFA Women's League before the outbreak of Covid 19 ?
A question lingering on the minds of her many followers in Margibi .
Could the answer be ADMINISTRATIVE, TECHNICAL OR LACK OF VISION IN THE PLAYERS ?
We'll be there today to tell the story !!
