World Championship Preparation for the Kata National Team 🥋

The Kata national team completed an extended training weekend last weekend. This was an important part of preparing for the upcoming World Championship. 💪

Under the leadership of Head Coach Mohammed Abu Wahib, the focus was on technical and competition-specific preparation for our athletes. 🎯

A special highlight happened on Saturday. We trained at Karate Club Lintgen with guest coach Valeria Bottaro from Italy, a Sh*toryu expert. This was a valuable opportunity to get new ideas and deepen our technical work. ✨

We want to thank all our athletes for their commitment, motivation, and effort throughout the entire weekend. 🌟

We also give special thanks to Karate Club Lintgen, especially Jean-Claude Henry and his entire team, for the excellent organization and support. 🙌

LUXQF3 - Successful Training Weekend 🥋

This past weekend, the first extended LUXQF3 training weekend took place from Thursday to Sunday. Participants enjoyed a varied program with theoretical and practical content from different areas of competitive sports. 💪

The weekend started on Thursday with Athletic Preparation led by DTN Mohammed Abu Wahib. On Friday, the focus was on Training Preparation and Safeguarding. This is a topic the Federation takes very seriously. 📋

Saturday was dedicated to Kata. Participants watched the Kata national team training and then received a theory session on Kata training structure. 🎯

On Sunday, we covered Kumite. Under the leadership of DTN Loïc Bento, participants observed the Kumite national team training. After that, they learned about Kumite training structure and video analysis. 📊

During the weekend, our President Fred Charles visited the participants and gave them motivating words. He emphasized how important continuous education is for coaches and officials. This supports our clubs and our Federation. ⭐

Overall, it was a very successful and intensive training weekend. DTN Mohammed Abu Wahib expressed pride in the participants’ commitment, motivation, and eagerness to learn. 🌟

Huge thanks to AW Sport Academy for an incredible Kata Athletes Summer Camp 2026! 🥋🔥

From August 7th to 9th, our national squad kata athletes from the Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Karaté (FLK) trained alongside karatekas from different clubs and countries, sharing intensive sessions, great energy, and a real team spirit.

Grateful for the coaching, the organization, and the memories made on the mats. Already looking forward to the next one! 💪

Open de Liege 🇧🇪 : Fantastic Performances from Luxembourg! 🇱🇺🔥👏

What a good weekend at the Open de Liege! Our national team (selected athletes for the next world championships) brought home 9 medals and showed incredible spirit on the mat.

🇫🇷Entraînements spécialisés pour les filles: ça marche et on continue💪
L’année dernière on a lancé l’expérience. Cette année c’est clairement partie intégrante de la philosophie de la FLK.
Pourquoi? Parce que les entraînements spécialisés ça crée de vraies différences. Chacune progresse à son rythme. Chacune se sent soutenue.
Le Président Fred Charlé et le Secrétaire Michel Dragone ont voulu voir ça de leurs yeux. Être là. Soutenir les coachs. Montrer que c’est prioritaire pour la fédération.
Merci à Raul Cuerva, Lis Dostert et à toute l’équipe qui fait bouger les lignes sur le tatami. Merci à nos filles qui y croient et qui y vont 🥰
🇬🇧Specialized training for girls: it works and we’re going further💪
Last year we launched the experiment. This year it’s clearly part of FLK’s philosophy.
Why? Because specialized training creates real differences. Each girl progresses at her own pace. Each one feels supported.
President Fred Charlé and Secretary Michel Dragone wanted to see it for themselves. To be there. To support the coaches. To show that this is a priority for the federation.
