We had the opportunity to represent our club at the Festival for People, held at Kalna Matiņi in Dzelzava Parish.
In a relaxed, open-air atmosphere, we were given the chance to showcase medieval armoured combat, demonstrate our equipment, answer questions, and share our passion with everyone who stopped by. We weren’t just invited as performers—we were also welcomed to take part in the festival itself alongside all the other visitors.
It turned out to be a truly wonderful event. The festival is built around encouraging meaningful conversations about self-awareness, personal growth, understanding our place in nature and society, and simply celebrating life through music, sauna traditions, healthy living, workshops, rituals, and many other activities.
One of the festival’s core principles deserves special recognition: it is held entirely without alcohol or other intoxicating substances. Creating an environment where people can genuinely connect while staying sober is a truly admirable goal.
Overall, it was a great experience. Our mission was successfully accomplished, and we are grateful to the organizers for giving us the opportunity to participate and become a small part of this event.
