During school breaks, Katalyst organizes cooking workshops for teachers, to experiment with new ingredients, or adapt old recipes to be a little healthier.
Thank you GlobalMedic for supporting initiatives like these.

In addition to cooking classes for kids, parents and cafeteria staff, we also organize field trips to farms and factories.
In this case, they got to see how a local cereal company makes their favorite crunchy little stars.
Thank you ChildFund Deutschland and Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) for helping the next generation develop a closer relationship to their food.

Celebrating those who have been part of the Katalyst team over the last five years.

We would like to thank ChildFund Deutschland and Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) for improving rural school lunch programs.
Not only was equipment provided to reduce the workload of staff, but nutrition for about 1,500 kids was improved throughout 2025.
Because it's easier to focus on ABCs and 123s when little tummies are full.

Introduction to basic construction skills
29/09/2025
When the conflict in Ukraine intensified on 24 February, 2022, Katalyst jumped to action, buying supplies for the flood of people who quickly left their homes.
As hundreds of thousands passed through Moldova, Katalyst was one of their resources, delivering packages of food, clothes, blankets and hygiene kits.
But due to budget cuts, the final donations were recently made to support 1,500 families with fresh produce and water filters.
Going forward, Katalyst will be focusing on vocational programs for childcare, food service and construction skills.
It’s been a heck of a ride, thank you again to everyone who supported us, and good luck to those who are still waiting patiently to return home.

As Katalyst prepares to open another season of vocational programs, here’s a reminder of how they work, where participants not only learned the basics of construction, but put those skills to use by helping repair a school that hosts quite a few refugees from Ukraine.
Because once the dust settles, a lot of schools and hospitals and homes will need to be repaired over there.
Thank you again UN Women Moldova for supporting this initiative.

Katalyst organizes many types of kitchen workshops, like the basics of spicing, the world of knives, or the chemistry of taste.
In this case, participants explored types of dough.
Or maybe they just found a tasty and creative way to use some strawberries, you know, like which came first, the chicken or the egg...
