Winds of Change: The Race for Bronze
as it they were fighting it off for the Title. A 3 way fight among 3 teams that are separated by 3 points at the table with the ultra added value of all facing one another over the 5 remaining rounds. in 2013 when Clube Desportivo Monte Carlo (P3, 26Points) conquered their 5th Title in Macau’s Top Flight Football, Sporting Clube de Macau (P4, 25P) was about to be crowned Division 2 Champions succeeding Chao Pak Kei, Division 2 Champions in 2012. And to an end had just come CPK’s (P5, 23 Points) first full season in Division 1, a brave 7th place finish, 1 point away from 6th, with a tally of 6 wins.
A mere 2 season’s on and there is a new order on Macau’s football. Who will prevail?

we do apologize for this delay
lets start at the top
will Benfica successfully defend their first ever Top Division titled of 2014 - a year in which they won the Big 3 (+FA Cup and Bolinha) or will it be Ka I back to the Winners Circle to add a 4th title to the hat-trick of the golden years of 2010-2012, having been the first ever Club in Macau’s Football to conquer the Big 3, back in 2011?
Over the 5 remaining matches Benfica and Ka I share 3 very weak opponents they are expected to easily beat:10th place Development, 9th in Polícia and 7th in Casa de Portugal.
And from then on is ‘big time advantage’ to Benfica: already 1 point ahead the Champions face 8th placed Chuac Lun, whereas Ka I will face Lai Chi, the team that is picking form and that drew Benfica 1-1.
The remaining match for either Reds is equally a potentially fierce challenger: Benfica faces Chao Pak Kei and Ka I will be challenged by Monte Carlo, 2 teams that will be in heir own ‘Championat’ for a place in the Podium.
Realistically the equation seems rather simple: Ka I must win all their 5 remaining matches
and needs a helping hand from Chao Pak Kei, the only of Benfica’s remaining opponents with
a chance of taking points away from the Reds.
Advantage Benfica. The Reds are on pole position
to defending their first ever tittle achieved in 2014 with 5 rounds remaining on the 2015 League.
