Last weekend we were honoured to participate in the summer training camp hosted by Nordfyns Kendo Klub "Go shi Kan" 剛志館 and led by Yukio Kato Sensei, alongside national team members and Kendoka from all around the world. It was a privilege to represent Malta and our club, Seisuikan.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Goshikan, and to all the families whose support made this experience possible.

Throughout the camp, we forged strong bonds, exchanged knowledge, and created memories that will stay with us for a lifetime. We learned, we challenged ourselves, and we celebrated together as one united community.

Ever wanted to channel your inner samurai?

Join us for 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 this April 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗮. Our dojo is opening its doors to everyone all month long – teens, parents, young adults – all are welcome! Come watch a Kendo practice or even step in and try it out yourself. No experience or equipment needed. It’s completely beginner-friendly – and yes, 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚!

This Open House leads right into our 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 starting in May. It’s a special 3-month summer course for new starters, and every participant gets their own 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗶 (𝗯𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗼 𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱)

Thank you to the MKF, who gave us the opportunity and a brilliant seminar. We're also thankful for everyone who supported us, and continues to do so. We will continue improving our kendo, and inspiring others to do so.

Our first guests have touched down and got straight into the action!

Yesterday, we had a special keiko led by Park Sensei - setting the stage for the days to come.

Filippi Sensei has also landed! and kendoka from all over the world are making their way to Malta. We're all warmed up for the International Taikai Seminar this weekend!

2024 was a year of defining moments for Seisuikan Dojo—a year of growth, resilience, and historic achievements.

Our club embraced a new identity, standing on the foundation built by those who came before us. For their efforts and dedication, we are deeply thankful. With Jonathan Sensei stepping into his role, as the most experienced practitioner, and the watchful guidance of Filippi Sensei and Ito Sensei, our practice reached new heights. This spirit of excellence was showcased at the Wroclaw Cup in Poland, where our Kendoka returned with achievements, character, and invaluable experience.

This year’s crowning moment was undoubtedly our proud representation of Malta at the 19th World Kendo Championship, a historic first for our country. Carrying the Maltese flag and showcasing our abilities on the global stage was both an honor and a defining moment for our community. This incredible milestone was built on the foundation of dedication, passion, and a shared spirit that brought us together. It stands as a reminder of what we can achieve and motivates us to continue striving for excellence in the future.
