Recently, our Club had the pleasure of welcoming members of the Hummersknott Badminton Club, from Darlington (UK), led by Philip Boyle.
Our players thoroughly enjoyed gauging their skills against their English counterparts. The event featured both junior and adult players of differing playing experience.
It was a great overall experience during which new friendships were made on both sides.
The competitive encounter took place during (what later turned out to be) the hottest day in the Maltese summer so far....so considerable credit is due to all the participants for their efforts.
Best wishes to the Hummersknott Badminton Club...while we look forward to another visit in the not too distant future.

Heartfelt congratulations to our four heroes who obtained such a positive achievement in the BBC Tournament played today.

Our Club remembers Thea Leotta with great sympathy; since she has not attended for some time, you may be asking yourselves what happened to her.
Thea settled in Sweden some time ago and she recently had the opportunity to participate in her very first badminton tournament in her new country. This was organised by Badminton Sweden and hosted by her local club, Älmhults Badminton Club.
It was a fantastic experience for her, given the high standard of the event. Thea performed quite well in the first three rounds of the Women's Singles but then bowed out in the quarter-final stage, losing in two straight sets with close scores.
Well Done, Thea. We look forward to seeing you on court again at our Club in the near future.
