⚽️ 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗗 𝗖𝗢𝗔𝗖𝗛 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 ⚽️

Xewkija Tigers Football Academy is proud to announce the appointment of 𝗠𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗮 as our Head Coach. 🐯

Born in 1985, Joseph brings with him a wealth of experience, dedication and passion for football, both on and off the pitch.

Throughout his playing career, he represented Xewkija Tigers FC, Munxar Falcons FC, St Lawrence Spurs FC and Gozo FC, enjoying a number of memorable successes along the way. His achievements include winning the Second Division title with Xewkija Tigers, securing five major trophies during the historic 2011/2012 season, lifting the GFA Cup in the 2015/2016 season, and winning the MFA Third Division title with Gozo FC. 🏆

Beyond his playing career, Joseph has dedicated many years to coaching and youth development. Between 2007 and 2014, he formed part of our Nursery coaching setup, helping nurture and guide young footballers during their formative years. He also served as Goalkeepers’ Coach with Munxar Falcons, Victoria Hotspurs, Xewkija Tigers and SK Victoria Wanderers.

Joseph is also the founder, administrator and trainer of the Gozo Goalkeepers School, which has now been successfully operating for 11 years. 🧤

Academically and professionally, Joseph holds a UEFA C Coaching Licence together with Goalkeeping Level 1 certifications obtained in both Malta and Wales. He also earned a Diploma in Sports Administration, further strengthening his expertise within the sporting sector.

Away from football, Joseph works as a teacher at Sacred Heart Minor Seminary. He is married to Sonia and together they are proud parents of four children. ❤️

We wish Joseph every success in this new role and look forward to continuing building a strong future for our Academy together.

On Friday, in the league match against Għajnsielem FC our Academy player Julian Vella made his first team full debut. It was a strong performance from Julian which contributed in an important win! Julian was 1 out of 7 players, starting the match, who formed part (and some still form part) of our Academy! Congratulations Julian and keep working hard!

Big well done to our boys who won today’s match against Kerċem Ajax (3-0) and became the new champions of the section.

It’s the day! Today our U16s will play their final league match against Kerċem Ajax. With a win, our boys will become CHAMPIONS. Our heartfelt plea for all fans to come and support our boys!
