Mdina is a unique example of a walled city, founded in the 8th century BC by the Phoenicians ๐Ÿฐ It was the first capital of Malta and the main seat of the nobility until 1530. Mdina is also known as the โ€œSilent Cityโ€ ๐Ÿคซ๐Ÿคซ - businesses have strict noise restrictions, and cars are also strictly limited. The ancient architecture and the car restriction added together make the stay in Mdina feel like stepping back in time โŒ› Thatโ€™s why itโ€™s used by directors as a movie set for productions taking place in old times - e.g. Game of Thrones ๐Ÿ‘‘
