More than 160 girls took part in the IFF Girls Academy Talent Identification trials held this week.

Up next: Gozo, with the next session taking place on Wednesday, 16 September at Gozo Stadium, starting at 17:30.

The session is open to girls born between 2012 and 2016.

Jana Barbara was on target for 1. FFC Recklinghausen in their latest Frauen-Regionalliga West fixture against Vorwärts Spoho Köln.

The Malta international registered one goal and one assist, contributing to her side’s 5–1 victory.

Haley Bugeja and Inter Women have made history, securing the club’s first-ever place in the UEFA Women’s Champions League main phase following a dramatic comeback against former European champions Wolfsburg. 🔵⚫

Bugeja becomes the latest Maltese international to feature on the European stage, following Rachel Cuschieri, who previously represented Cypriot side Apollon Ladies in the competition.

A landmark moment for Inter Women — and another important milestone for Maltese women’s football. 🇲🇹

Gatt has already featured for her new side, making her first appearance following her move to the Austrian club.

Malta international Jana Barbara has joined German side 1. FFC Recklinghausen ahead of the new season.

Barbara moves to Recklinghausen following a spell with VfR Warbeyen, having previously represented FC Schalke 04 and spent several years within the SGS Essen setup.

She made her first appearance for her new club on Sunday, starting the match and playing 75 minutes.

Malta international Kailey Willis has joined Chievo Verona Women! 💛💙

The forward returns to Chievo, where she previously played during the 2022/23 season. 🇮🇹

During her time in Italy, Willis has also represented Hellas Verona, Venezia, Brescia and AS Meran, gaining valuable experience across Italian women’s football.

Now, a new chapter begins as Kailey returns to Chievo! 🇲🇹⚽💪
