🏆Malé Sports Club Crowned Champions of the 2025 President’s T20 Cup

After winning the toss, MSC opted to field first and held CBL Sports to 46/2 at the end of 7 overs. The bowlers kept the pressure on throughout, triggering a collapse as 7 more wickets tumbled in the remaining 9 overs. Ashan Yapa stood out for CBL Sports, scoring a gritty 52 off 39 balls, guiding his team to a total of 127/9 in their allotted 20 overs.
Mohamed Mahfooz led the bowling attack with 3 wickets, while Shiyam and Irfan chipped in with 2 wickets each to round off a disciplined display.

In response, CBL’s pace attack struck early, leaving MSC struggling at 22/3 inside 4 overs. However, Mohamed Rishwan steadied the innings from the fifth over onward, playing a composed knock of 61 from 46 deliveries. He was dismissed LBW with just 12 runs needed for victory, having laid the foundation for a successful chase.

Muawiyath Abdul Ghanee and Mahfooz were the batsmen on the field to see-off the target in the 18th Over and ensure Malé Sports Club are this years’ champions.
