Road to WFC…
Women may have been playing “football” for as long as the game has existed. First match recorded by the Scottish Football Association in 1892 in Glasgow.
Women Football is the most prominent team sport played around the globe. It is played at the professional level in numerous countries throughout the world and 176 national teams participate internationally. FIFA women’s World Cup 2019 from 7th June – 7th July 2019
On 22 January 2019 WFC Academy (WFCA) started and the first official WFC meeting was held in Hulhumale’ with 11 members. WFC officially registered on 4th February 2019.
Our purposes are to advocate and educate women through sports, to create awareness of football, specially Women's football, To Empower women through football; Life skill programs, Speaker meetings, Awareness programs/campaigns.
