Akuzike Namutwa has played a very huge role throughout this Tiyende Pamodzi cycling tour, the man behind The Biking Freeman branding. When I asked him to assist me in managing the strategy for this small brand, Aku rose to the occasion despite his busy schedule. He produced branded creatives, offered guidance, and made sure everything looked perfect and consistent.

Aku would call me during the tour regardless of the time coz akafuna chinthu nde samatengelaso kuti ndatopa kapena ndikupalasa 😂. Always checking in, pushing me, more concerned about how you were engaging with the journey.

Aku is a natural strategist; it’s inborn. He makes things look so simple. God willing, expect even more on this page from Aku Namutwa’s strategic brilliance.

25 October, 2025 is a special day of my life as it marked the last day for the 𝗧𝗶𝘆𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗱𝘇𝗶 𝟮𝟴, a journey I embarked on from 3 October, 2025 with an aim to visit all the 28 Districts of my beautiful country, Malawi 🇲🇼.
Together with Stewart The Cyclist and Wilson, we set off on this journey from the DC's offices in Blantyre and completed our journey right on the same spot we started from in 23 days, 2 days less from what we planned for; and were warmly welcomed by Adventures with Colby Team, members of the Blantyre Cycling Crew, my family members (Uchizi Khoswe, Janet Gausi, Rhea Mwandoska) and Stewart's love of his life 🫶🏾.

A few lessons from this journey:
☑ Malawi is indeed the warm heart of Africa: You would think most of the people who hosted us are our friends, relatives or those we know, but no! We were welcomed by strangers and they gave us accommodation, places to erect our tents and food. Almost all of our stops were unplanned but we were welcomed nevertheless.
☑ Malawians are more hardworking people than one would think. Some spend sleepless nights to make ends meet and it is disheartening to see the landscape some few individuals create for these souls.
☑ Perseverance is key when you want to achieve in life: Was this journey easy? Not at all!
We came across different challenges along the way: tiredness, feeling unwell, rough roads, un and scorching heat.
There are only two options in life:
A. Never give up; keep pushing.
B. Option A

Kasipa Primary School was our home last night; thanks to the headmaster, Mr. Buleya for offering us a place to rest on.
Ulendo wathu lero wayamba ndi kadzutsa wabwino amene tadyera pa Chisaka Trading Centre ndipo osakhalitsa, tikhala tikukuninkhani zithunzi zimene titenge pa Salima boma, limene likhale boma la chi 24 kuponda pa ulendo umenewu.

𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲!

It has been a refreshing and re-energizing break as we swapped pedals for waves and hopped aboard the iconic Ilala on the fresh waters of the Calendar Lake.
Our Ship ride ended today at Nkhotakota where we docked at 12:10 am though passengers only started to disembark from the ship a few minutes before 06:00 am as it was advised that the lake was not calm and visibility was poor, hence could not risk it. With hundreds of passengers and cargo on board, our turn to disembark came around 9:00 a.m

We hanged around Nkhotakota for a few hours and started off for Salima after 12:00 pm, fully recharged, inspired, and ready for the next stretch of our adventure!
A huge thanks to all the different people we have met and interacted on this special Lake Malawi experience; Life is beautiful ☺️
