WALKOVER AGAIN! Becks Academy Awarded 3 Points as Letico Fail to Show

Becks Academy FC vs Letico FC | Kalanda Ground, Cape Maclear
It was supposed to be Week 8 action at Kalanda Ground, but for the second week in a row, Becks Academy FC collected points without kicking a ball.
Opponents Letico FC failed to travel to Cape Maclear for the scheduled fixture, forcing the match officials to award Becks Academy a 2-0 win on paper with 3 points and 2 goals.
This comes just a week after Buffalo FC also failed to show up to face Mapangolins, meaning Becks Academy has now collected 6 points and 4 goals in two weeks without playing.
While the points are welcome, the mood in the Becks camp is mixed.
Speaking to the media, the Becks Academy coach expressed disappointment with the conduct of some teams in the league:
"We prepare the boys all week, we prepare the ground, the fans come to Kalanda to watch football. It's not good for the development of the game when teams fail to travel. We want to play football and win on the pitch, not in the boardroom."
Despite not playing, Becks Academy remains focused and will continue preparations for the next fixture. The boys were ready, the ground was ready - we are ready for whoever wants to play football.
