NED Sports Desk Briefs Likoma School Leaders on Sports Management and Strategic Planning
The NED Sports Desk today conducted a briefing session in Likoma for headteachers and sports teachers focusing on the proper procedures for organizing school sports activities and educational trips, as well as the implementation of the NED Sports Strategic Plan.
The session was facilitated by Assistant SDO Sam Nyirenda together with Mr Yola from the National Council of Sports.
The briefing officially opened with a presentation on school sports activities in Likoma delivered by DESO - Asante Mankhokwe. The event was graced by the Director of Education and Sports, Zimulange Mhango, who served as the Guest of Honour.
The meeting emphasized the importance of proper planning, coordination, safety procedures, and strategic implementation in developing school sports across Likoma.

🏆 MALAWI YOUTH GAMES SEASON 6 – KARONGA CDSS CLUSTER UPDATE 🏆
The Malawi Youth Games Season 6 continued successfully at Karonga CDSS Playground, with five schools participating in a day filled with competition, talent identification, and sportsmanship.

🏅 NEED MASSA Holds Evaluation and Planning Meeting for Sports Development
On 18th May 2026, NEED MASSA held an Evaluation and Planning Meeting aimed at reviewing the Second Edition of the EDMs Trophy Games and planning ahead for the FDH Cup National Finals and Malawi Youth Games Season 6.
Key discussions focused on talent identification, athlete camping programmes, financial contributions from schools, fair player selection, and improving communication among committees and schools.
The meeting emphasized unity, transparency, commitment, and continued support towards sports development and talent nurturing in schools.
