2. Team yomwe osewera ake sadzakwana 16 omwe adutsa vetting exercise siidzaloledwa kusewera nawo League.
3. Team yomwe siidzakwanitsa kubwera patsiku la Vetting, siidzaloledwa kusewera nawo League.

Mzuzu District Youth Football committee met with teams on Wednesday 01/04/206 to review the just ended season and plan ahead the 2026 season.

During the meeting teams highlighted some shortfalls and strengths of the committee and 2025/2026 leagues.

The committee took time to address some issues raised by teams while promising to improve on the shortfalls in the next season.

Speaking after the meeting General Secretary Kenphillips Kanyinji expressed his satisfaction with the teams participation and contribution.

"As a committee we are delighted with the way the teams have contributed ideas and resolutions for the next season." Said Kanyinji.

Kanyinji further assured teams that in the new season they should expect changes from the committee side and asked teams to work on their shortfalls.

The vetting is scheduled next week.

Among the resolutions for the upcoming season include :

1. League shall not kick off without cards being available to teams.
2. Vetting exercise will be done in two phases - No player who has not gone through the vetting exercise shall play
3. No team that brings less than 16 players at the vetting exercise shall participate in the league
4. League shall be played in few selected venues.
5. There shall be relagation and promotion from now on.
6. A team that fails to affiliate in the given period shall not participate
7. All the teams should have its own structures.

On Sunday 29th March, 2026, Mzuzu District Youth Football committee held a meeting in Mzuzu that aimed at reviewing the just ended 2025-2026 season.

Among others the committee looked at the strengths and shortfalls that were in the 2025-2026 season.

Lastly it also tackled 2026 season preparations as the calendar for the Youth Football has been announced that all football activities starts on 7 April 2026.

Next, the committee will meet teams for a season review and plan on the new season on Wednesday 1 April 2026 at 1:00PM at Mzuzu CCAP ground.

Area 1B Academy has won the Mzuzu District Youth Football Mmera Mpoyamba Under 16 League following their 3-2 win over Cyclones in a game played at Lupaso Ground.

Joshua Gondwe, Yankho Harawa and Martin Mhango were on target for the champions while Medson Mbewe and Davie Thenga scored for the visitors.

The win propelled Area 1B Academy to 66 points four points ahead of second placed Hilltop who humbled VUWA FA 7-1 with both teams having a game to wrap up the season today's win means Area 1 B Academy are the champions for this season.
