After 3 games I find myself still on the winning side.
Im game 3 I ended un on the winning side taking home +$1 900 pesos.
A very interesting hand for me hand after the live stream was taken down. A,very similar hand to the one Javier lost with QQ to Mark's AA. This for me was even worse than Javier vs Mark. It was myself with KK and Charly with a hand that I suspect was AA. The table think my fold was good even though we did not see Charlys cards.
I cannot remember our positions on the table but someone raised $250 pesos and Charly only called. A couple of other players called and when it got to me I decided to go for a big 3 bet of $1 500 which Charly then 4 bet $6 000. After thinking about it for a while, with a big smile on my face I folded KK. We only managed to see one A as he threw his cards away. It was not the first time I folded KK and it is not the last time. I think my read was perfect and I refuse to explain my thought behind it.
I am now up a total of $46 300 pesos.

Tras tres partidas, sigo en el bando ganador.
En la tercera partida, terminé ganando y me llevé a casa 1900 pesos.
Tuve una mano muy interesante después de que se cortara la transmisión en directo. Una mano muy parecida a la que Javier perdió con QQ contra los AA de Mark. Para mí, esta fue incluso peor que la de Javier contra Mark. Yo tenía KK y Charly tenía una mano que sospecho que era AA. La mesa pensó que mi retirada fue buena, aunque no vimos las cartas de Charly.
No recuerdo bien nuestras posiciones en la mesa, pero alguien subió la apuesta a 250 pesos y Charly solo igualó. Un par de jugadores más igualaron y, cuando me tocó a mí, decidí hacer una gran apuesta de 1500 pesos, a lo que Charly respondió con una cuarta apuesta de 6000 pesos. Tras pensarlo un rato, con una gran sonrisa, me retiré con KK. Solo vimos un as cuando tiró sus cartas. No era la primera vez que me retiraba con KK, ni será la última. Creo que mi lectura fue perfecta y me niego a explicar mi razonamiento.
Ahora llevo una ganancia total de 46 300 pesos.

I finished the live stream $7 000 pesos up. I ended the night winning $4 400 pesos after hanging out to play 2 more hours. It was really a quiet night for me. The hand of the night that I observed for me was Tomas Leal with AJ and Alvarez with 72. That was an interesting hand that led to the table paying Alvarez $200 pesos per player for winning with 72. Terminé la transmisión en vivo con $7000 pesos de ganancia. Tras jugar dos horas más, terminé la noche con $4400 pesos. Fue una noche bastante tranquila para mí. La mano más destacada de la noche, en mi opinión, fue la de Tomás Leal con AJ y Álvarez con 72. But I currently find myself having to get involved for a lack of good cash games around my immediate surroundings.

Since I will be playing a few more televised games taking place on the following dates 10, 14, 17, 21, 28 and 1. I have decided to share with you(My non poker playing friends) my financial ups and downs as a poker player. It is going to be 6 sessions all in all. The idea ofcoarse is to end on the winning side at the end of it all. Making a living as a poker player is not easy but doable. The is a saying among poker players that says
"Poker is a hard way to make an easy living"
I started on the right track winning $40 000 pesos in the first game that took place on 10 April 2026. The live stream which I have shared with you on the above link was suspended due to marked cards and bad internet.
The hand of the night was off the TV screens. Thank you to Tomas Leal the hand was caught on the camera and the hand is found on the video accompanying this post. The following hand is a good example of those sweet spots that we hope for as poker players. Sweet Spots that includes mistakes from the other players. Basically other players making good decisions in your favor.
Here is how the hand went:
Blinds = $100/$100
I am not sure who started the raise pre flop but the was a raise of $300. Guillermo on highjack 3bet to $1 500. Myself sitting on pocket K's on the button 4bet to $3 600 and Mike who has been playing loose most of the evening made a call of $3 600 on big blind. Guillermo made a quick 5bet shove all in of about $17 000 pesos. Folding K's quickly passed through my head but I decided to make a quick call before I could convince myself to fold those kings. After all Guillermo is a good player who just won a highroller tournament not long ago.

Thinking too much about all this could influence me to fold.
Mike had some thinking to do. The $3 600 call made things a little bit complicated for him and so he found himself having to make the call. A total of about $45 000 pesos came my way after all the dust settled. You can see the hands that I was up against on the video. Photos of chips won on the night in the comments.

Como jugaré algunas partidas más televisadas los días 10, 14, 17, 21, 28 y 1, he decidido compartir con ustedes (mis amigos que no juegan al póker) mis altibajos financieros como jugador. Serán seis sesiones en total. La idea, por supuesto, es terminar ganando al final. Ganarse la vida como jugador de póker no es fácil, pero es posible. Hay un dicho entre los jugadores de póker que dice:
"El póker es una forma difícil de ganarse la vida fácilmente".
Empecé con buen pie, ganando 40 000 pesos en la primera partida, que tuvo lugar el 10 de abril de 2026. La transmisión en directo que compartí con ustedes en el enlace anterior se suspendió debido a cartas marcadas y mala conexión a internet.
La mano de la noche no se vio en televisión. Gracias a Tomás Leal, la mano fue captada por la cámara y se encuentra en el vídeo que acompaña a esta publicación. La siguiente mano es un buen ejemplo de esos momentos clave que buscamos como jugadores de póker. Momentos clave que incluyen errores de los demás jugadores. Básicamente, que otros jugadores tomen buenas decisiones a nuestro favor.
Así se desarrolló la mano:
Ciegas = $100/$100
No estoy seguro de quién inició la subida preflop, pero fue una subida de $300. Guillermo, con highjack, hizo una 3bet a $1500. Yo, con reyes de mano en el botón, hice una 4bet a $3600 y Mike, que había estado jugando de forma suelta casi toda la noche, igualó la apuesta de $3600 desde la ciega grande. Guillermo hizo una 5bet rápida y all-in de aproximadamente $17 000 pesos. Pensé en retirarme rápidamente, pero decidí igualar antes de convencerme de retirarme con esos reyes. Después de todo, Guillermo es un buen jugador que acaba de ganar un torneo highroller hace poco.

I was dealt a pair of 10's on the bubble and I found myself all in against pair of Q's. The first thing I said when cards where opened and I realized I was behind, I said that Messi and Maradona were not going to let me down. I started chanting Messi, Messi like they did on the video. For what you know I ended up with Quads. 10 on the turn and 10 on the river. Both Messi and Maradona showed up. I now believe that Messi is very powerful. hahaha
