Still taking it all in. Grateful for the opportunity to compete on one of golf’s biggest stages and test my game in a place as special as Bandon. was nothing short of spectacular and an unforgettable experience from start to finish.

This week brought plenty of emotions, lessons, and perspective. Proud to represent the Middle Atlantic Professional Golfers’ Association (MAPGA), the PGA of America, and what it means to be a golf professional competing at this level. The work continues.

Chelsea, your family is so proud of you and your SU students. The Legacy Class continues to set the standard. Raising $190,000 this semester is incredible, but what stands out even more is the growth we see in these students as you pour into them every day. From the sidelines, it is clear this is what a true Legacy Mindset creates.

You embody service leadership in its truest form, pouring into these students at all hours and creating the trust that allows them to engage, step forward, and grow. That is your gift, the way you connect, activate, and bring out their potential. The results speak for themselves, but the impact goes far beyond the numbers. We see the care, the consistency, and the behind the scenes commitment in everything you do, and we could not be more proud. You are, without question, the woman in the arena. We love you.

As we commemorate the United States Semiquincentennial, Mount Vernon Country Club stands proudly as the only country club in the Commonwealth of Virginia recognized as an Official Supporting Partner of the national celebration.

This distinction carries special meaning for us. Our club’s name and logo honor George Washington, our nation’s first President, whose legacy is deeply rooted in this very community. As neighbors to his historic estate and stewards of traditions inspired by his leadership, we are uniquely positioned to celebrate 250 years of American history with authenticity, reverence, and pride.

Even more notably, our Golf Shop is the only licensed country club in Virginia authorized to create a commemorative logo and lasting keepsake in honor of this historic milestone. This is a meaningful tribute to a once-in-a-generation celebration.

This year represents more than celebration; it reflects our continued commitment to service, stewardship, and leadership within the game and our broader community.

I'm beyond proud of and her remarkable growth mindset! Six years ago, she co-founded The Legacy Class at Shenandoah University's School of Business. Now in its 6th year, the class provides scholarship opportunities for 1st Generation School of Business students through hands-on experiential learning. The class organizes and runs a golf tournament, which in turn provides scholarships to their peers in the School of Business. Chelsea’s leadership, care, and mindset make her an exceptional coach and mentor to these students. To learn more about The Legacy Class, click the link in my bio.
