As an American living in Cozumel for over 20 years, I feel safer here than any other place in the world. I understand that the States is doing what they can to fix the economy and keep the flow of money within the country, but do not make false claims about one of the safest places. There are 8 times more crimes committed in the US, than in Mexico according to the crime stats.
