🇵🇭 Team Philippines, you made us proud! 🇵🇭

A strong showing from our juniors at the 1st Taipei Junior Open 2026, with all four players gaining valuable international experience — and three finishing in the Top 8 and both losing only to the eventual champions! 🏆

🥉 Lyra Kate Trasmil — 3rd place GU13
Ashton Rain Medino — 5th place BU13
Aliyah Gannaban — 6th place GU15

Looking back on this week, I can’t help but feel incredibly proud and grateful for this team. ❤️🇵🇭

We may not have brought home the title we were hoping for, but there is so much more to acknowledge. We came away with a strong set of results, with our players competing hard, pushing themselves, and showing how much they have grown throughout this journey.

Beyond the results and achievements, what makes me most proud is the way this team represented the Philippines — with heart, humility, respect and togetherness. We’ve built something much bigger than what happens on court. ❤️

I’m also incredibly blessed by the kindness we’ve received along the way. From the people who welcomed us and supported us, to those who generously gifted us so many local souvenirs and snacks, these little gestures have meant much and created memories that we will carry with us.

Coach Van Aero Dalida is just as proud of this team as I am. We may not have won the title this time, but I truly believe we won the hearts of many — and that is just as important.

I’m proud to lead this team, proud of everything they have achieved and, most importantly, proud of the people they are becoming.

The results are something to celebrate, but the journey is only beginning.

So much more to come from this group. 🇵🇭❤️

Watching this now, it feels like a lifetime ago.

Behind every scar was blood, pain, uncertainty, and countless moments that tested me in ways I never imagined. There were days when giving up felt like the easier choice, but those battles became some of the greatest lessons of my life.

I’m forever grateful—not only for what the journey taught me, but for the people who stood by me when I couldn’t walk.

Those experiences didn’t just shape the athlete I became; they shaped the person I am today. They are also why I aspire to inspire others in this next chapter of my life.

We all have battles we’re fighting every single day, even if they aren’t always visible. If sharing a part of my journey can give just one person a little hope, strength, or the courage to keep going through their own battle today, then this story is worth telling.

Sometimes our greatest struggles become our greatest purpose. 💪

This isn’t something achieved alone, but with my team who make this journey special. Grateful to be in a position to inspire, make an impact, and lead the change. Looking forward to what more we can do together! 🇵🇭❤️

Huge congratulations to Coach Wee Wern Low!

We are beyond proud to share that she has been named Development Coach of the Year by the Asian Squash Federation!

Her passion, dedication, and tireless work in growing squash in the Philippines have touched so many athletes and built a strong squash family. She doesn’t just coach — she inspires, mentors, and leads by example every single day.

From all of us at the Philippine Squash Academy, thank you for believing in us and for helping us become better on and off the court. 🙌

Happy Chinese New Year 2026 from our team to yours! Didn’t make it home to Penang but the players brought Chinese New Year to the courts instead 😍🇵🇭

SEA Games 2025 — the final tournament to wrap up the year! We came home with 2 silver and 2 bronze medals! 🥈🥈🥉🥉

The fight they showed, the way they stood by one another in every match, and the belief they carried throughout the week was special. They competed with heart, unity, and courage, lifting each other through every match.

A powerful way to close out the year, with a team I am proud to lead — and we move into 2026 hungry, focused, and excited for what’s ahead. 💪🇵🇭

The power of squash 🙌🇵🇭

Squash in the Philippines has seen a major change for the future, with the sport providing children with a safe space to play squash, eat meals, and, for some, a space to sleep.

Over the past 18 months, the Philippines Squash Academy has been able to oversee improvements on and off the courts for the next generation of squash players 👏

High performance will always matter, but what’s just as important is investing in the next generation — the ones who will carry the sport forward.

Every kid deserves the chance to dream, to grow, and to shine, not just as athletes but as individuals who carry integrity, humility, and drive.

I am proud of these kids and how far they’ve come. Their passion, discipline, and joy remind me why I love what I do ❤️
The future of Philippine squash is in good hands 🇵🇭🔥

My second SEA Cup with the team — and what a week it was! We’re coming home with 5 medals! 🥇🥇🥈🥈🥉 But more than the medals, I’m proud of the team spirit shown throughout the week.

They pushed each other, supported one another, and showed what it means to grow not just as athletes, but as teammates.

It’ll be a birthday to remember, as the team took us to the finals on the very same day! 🎂💪

Grateful for the memories, the fight, and the bond we’re building. Onwards and upwards, team! 🇵🇭💪

Busy few weeks on the road—traveling with different players to Singapore, Malaysia, and Korea. We had a mix of results—some great wins and some tough losses—but what stood out most was the way the players supported each other. Regardless of age or event, they showed up for one another, competed with heart, and grew stronger as a team. 🇵🇭

It was a pleasant surprise to receive an ASF Coaches Certificate of Recognition over the weekend in Korea—something I wasn’t quite expecting this early in my coaching journey, but definitely grateful for. We keep going! 💪 ❤️
